[Intro Transcript] Welcome to another episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast. I’m your host, Nick Giordano, and I am glad you could join me today. We may be witnessing a major shift in Europe. Over the weekend, millions of Europeans went to the polls, and conservative parties, and parties that lean right, made significant gains. It appears that most Europeans are tired of watching their culture continue to be denigrated by those in power. Europeans are tired of being dictated to and repeatedly told that Western civilization is toxic. They are tired of the migration, the crime, and the loss of their cultural identity, and so they are seeking an alternative. Will this continue? Well, only time will tell, but it certainly has reverberations throughout the world because we are facing some of the same problems.

Here in America, you have the elites who seek more power and routinely denigrate American values and the American identity. Whenever you push back against them, they are quick to label you. Labels like racist, bigot, misogynist, fascist, transphobic, homophobic, among other labels. They do this to create an atmosphere of fear knowing that people will self-censor because they do not want to be attacked, ridiculed, and marginalized, with the threat of having their livelihoods destroyed.

It goes back to a failed education system that does not produce students with a strong understanding of our founding, our history, and our principles. They often provide misleading and simplistic explanations of our founding and the founding fathers so that it is easier to undermine their vision and foster change throughout our society. This failure is generational and brings us closer to authoritarianism.

John Adams once said, “Children should be educated and instructed on the principles of freedom.” This statement underscores the importance our Founding Fathers placed on education. They envisioned an education system where students would be well-versed in American history and the principles that underpin our republic. Founders like Noah Webster believed that an American-centric education was vital, and he asserted that students should be deeply knowledgeable about their country’s history. Most importantly, James Madison warned that the only guardian of true liberty was knowledge.

Today, however, our education system has strayed far from this vision. It has failed to live up to its obligation, and as a result, the American people have failed to live up to theirs. This failure is evident every day when we see so many Americans willingly surrendering their liberties for greater government control. It’s a shift towards dependency. A shift to becoming a slave to the state, and it is a direct threat to the principles of liberty and limited government that have defined our nation since its inception.

Just look at what happened over the weekend where you had anti-Israel, pro-Hamas mobs descending on Washington, DC. These entitled, spoiled brats believe they have the right to deface property, vandalize statues and monuments, through smoke bombs on the White House lawn, and pelt officers with bottles and rocks. When you look at some of the videos, you would think it was an insurrection or something, but no one was held accountable and that’s why they operate with impunity.

Just take a listen to this sound clip from Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, where she lists all the things the government should provide – student debt cancellation, free lunches, free college, and more.

This socialist agenda, as outlined by Congresswoman Omar, is designed to increase government dependency. But even worse, it fosters a sense of entitlement that we have been witnessing more frequently in our society. Entitlement is where people believe they can do whatever the hell they want consequences be damned. More importantly, it’s designed to absolve individuals of personal responsibility, hard work, and merit – values that are fundamental to our ethos.

As we have seen, the erosion of these values comes with dangers. As the government gains greater control, we inch closer to authoritarianism. History has shown us time and again that when governments take more control, individual liberties are sacrificed as the government cracks down on freedoms. This is not a new phenomenon.

Thinkers and leaders have warned about this push for decades. However, it has gained unprecedented ground in recent times, largely due to a population that is increasingly ignorant of history, especially American history.

This ignorance has allowed for the manipulation and racialization of our society, tactics used to undermine the vision of the Founders. By erasing history, those who seek greater control aim to ensure that few can challenge them – because you cannot defend what you do not know. They manipulate minds by undermining basic and universal truths, making the masses believe that the government is the only solution to the problems we face.

We must recognize that this push for government control, whether it is called communism, socialism, or an oligarchy, is fundamentally about establishing authoritarianism. In such a system, the few get to control the masses. This is why it is more important than ever to understand what is going on and how perverse the leftist ideology is.

It all comes down to preserving our values. American values like liberty, freedom, and limited government. It’s about preserving the American identity.

It’s a nefarious push. One that undermines basic and universal truths, but that’s the point. If you attempt to destroy truth, you can mold society into whatever you want. That’s exactly what’s happening, and whenever someone tells you that this is a conspiracy theory or that the push is overhyped, they are either willfully lying or blind to the realities.
