Our economy has been so artificially manipulated over the last 15 years that no one should be surprised at the bank meltdowns. Is the fiscal stress of our banking sector at risk, or will it be limited to a few smaller banks?

Recent revelations and the subsequent congressional hearings show that members of Congress prefer to attack those who expose government misinformation and censorship rather than conduct their Constitutional duty of oversight and reign in the out-of-control federal departments and agencies. All in all, we need less government, not more.

Welcome to The P.A.S. Report Podcast.

Power is a corrupting force. It’s something we have been repeatedly warned about throughout recorded history. It’s something our founding fathers warned about over and over again. It’s why they preferred limited government and instituted safeguards. It’s why I did last week’s episode on limited government so make sure to check it out.

If we look at the checks and balances, there is a reason that Congress has far more checks over the other two branches of government. The founders wanted power in the hands of the many as opposed to the few.

However, over the last two decades, and I can easily argue that it’s a lot longer than that, we have witnessed Congress surrender its power and authority to the executive branch through the various departments and agencies.

The last few years have proven that these same departments and agencies cannot be trusted with this power as they have routinely abused the power entrusted to them. When our institutions become politically weaponized by the bureaucrats, who are really nothing more than ideologues, they are the real threat to a free society. When incompetent officials turn a blind eye to complete mismanagement of financial institutions leading to bank meltdowns.

Sadly, you have a general public that doesn’t care that they’ve been consistently lied to. They’ve been consistently manipulated, and some are too blind to see that the free society we pretend to live in doesn’t really exist the way they thought.

Then you have those who have exposed government misinformation and censorship, and after last week’s Congressional hearings, it is clear that there are many in Congress who could care less about the abuses of power. In fact, many of them actually applaud it and are willing to empower the federal departments and agencies even more as long as those who run these agencies continue to push a political agenda they agree with.

They are willing to further empower those who have already proven that they have little regard for the Constitution and our God-given liberties.

The media all but ignored several significant stories last week that everyone should be aware of. Maybe if ordinary people were aware of the abuses of power, perhaps then they would say enough is enough and call to reign in these out-of-control agencies and departments.
