Biden’s Debate Debacle: The Aftermath

After Biden’s disastrous debate performance, the clean-up on aisle five has been an utter failure. To prove that President Biden is healthy and mentally fit, his inner circle, which has become much smaller, has embarked on a mission to put President Biden out in the public more – an effort that is proving to be an unwise decision. The more we see of this weak president, the more the truth becomes inevitable.

Even though he is the oldest U.S. president in history, his handlers thought it might be a good idea for Biden to speak to a crowd after the catastrophic debate. He and his wife held a small rally at a hotel in Atlanta, Georgia immediately following his match with Donald Trump. Dr. Jill Biden, our narcissistic first lady, stood on stage next to her husband and announced, “Joe you answered every question!” It was like watching an enthusiastic mother praising her five-year-old son for putting a puzzle piece in the right place. So, let me get this straight – you too, can become president as long as you answer every question – doesn’t matter what your response is or whether you are coherent or not, just answer the question and you win. I cringed watching this clip, as I so often do when I’m viewing President Biden. It’s uncomfortable, but more importantly, it’s frightening. This is the man who has control of our nuclear codes.

Days later, Biden went on to speak with a Philadelphia radio station. Controlled by racial politics, Biden told the interviewer, “I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice-president, first black woman…to serve with a black president.” Wow! I guess in today’s age, you can identify with whatever you want to be. This is the intended clean-up from his debate performance, and if you listen to the clip, the interviewer plays along, never correcting the president. Keep in mind that the radio station was sent a list of permissible questions from President Biden’s campaign, and the radio host admits to sticking with those questions. What is the point of a free press if they don’t push back on those in authority?

A slew of blunders followed, including during a meeting with Democrat governors, when he admitted he needs more sleep and will stop working by 8 pm going forward. Well, that is not exactly what Americans need to hear right now for reassurance, Mr. President. To quell concerns, his aides declared that Biden is “dependably engaged from 10 am to 4 pm.” News flash – the presidency is a 24-hour job requiring strength, cogency, and aptitude at all times. Good grief.

Now, onto his first televised post-debate sit-down with George Stephanopoulos – an interview that the Biden team hoped would assuage any hesitation voters might have to cast a ballot for his reelection. As with any time Biden speaks, the interview was short and filled with cringe-worthy moments. After the debate, many in the democratic party clamored for Biden to step aside and discussed different names that could potentially take his place before the Democratic Convention. Well, according to Biden in this interview, only the ‘Lord Almighty’ could convince him to drop out. It will be interesting to watch the infighting in the coming weeks on this matter.

In between stuttering, speaking slowly, and awkward pauses, Biden claimed that the debate was just a ‘bad episode’. Again, as I discussed last week, the most amazing takeaway from the debate was not Biden’s performance but rather the media’s shock. How diluted do you have to be to not understand that this man, who even in his prime was never the epitome of intelligence or sensibility, is completely incapable of running a candy store, never mind the United States of America? He has proven this over and over, years before this debate, but now they want to admit that this is an issue? During the interview, he asserted that he did not believe the polls showing that Trump was ahead. He chalked up his performance to a mysterious cold and maintained he is fit to serve four more years. The truth is he is not fit to serve the remainder of his term, and world leaders recognize this alarming fact.

The most telling fact was that he refused a cognitive test, something that would definitively shut down any argument that he is mentally sound. To Stephanopoulos’ credit, he asked several times, but Biden simply dodged and refused every time. When ridiculous allegations of President Trump’s cognition came into question, he readily took the assessment in 2018 and passed.

We are in a scary moment right now, when our current president is a shell, lies are reported as fact, and the future of our republic is uncertain. We can only hope that the will of the American people is fairly upheld on election day.
