CNN’s Dana Bash Interview Does Little to Uncover Kamala Harris’ Position on the Issues
After being thrust into the presidential candidacy following Democrat’s pressure on Biden to drop out of the race, Kamala Harris has faced a growing demand to release her policy platform as a potential President of the United States of America. Facilitated, ironically, by the press, she has managed to evade scrutiny, offering only mediocre and heavily scripted campaign speeches, leaving the American people scratching their heads, wondering – what does this woman actually believe in?
Finally, after over a month of avoiding the press as the democrat nominee, Kamala Harris agreed to sit down for an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash. Sure, it’s a partisan organization with a deeply biased “journalist” – Bash has made her dislike of Trump and her support for Harris shamelessly obvious – but it was something. Many of us understood that hard-hitting journalism was a lot to ask for with this interview, but what was striking was how uncomfortable the VP seemed in friendly territory.
Harris, along with her security blanket and running mate, Tim Waltz, sat down in a pre-recorded interview on an oddly arranged set, where Kamala sat hunched over a table appearing awkward and insecure. It is important to note that the chyron was erroneously labeled as live – I’m sure this was just an innocent mistake on the part of CNN. Also, to fill the gaps between Bash’s weak line of questioning, the once trusted media corporation composed video montages that would seem as if Harris’ own campaign had orchestrated them.
