Democrat Offers Surprising View on MAGA Voters
This week â another rave. I thought I would struggle to find my âraveâ articles, but itâs surprising what you can discover when youâre looking for some good news among all the noise.
Has anyone ever heard of Dean Phillips? Probably not. To be honest, before last week, I had never heard of him either. He is a member of the United States Congress, representing the 3rd district of Minnesota. Phillips is also campaigning to become the Democratic nominee in the upcoming presidential election.
Like many of my readers, I have found it nearly impossible to find a Democrat who doesnât become rabid at the mention of Donald Trumpâs name. It is difficult to find what Democrats stand for if it does not involve invoking Trumpâs name and their hatred for him. His voters are regularly smeared as racist, sexist, and homophobic bigots. The mainstream media and the far left incessantly lob unfounded criticisms of the former presidentâs supporters.
Dean Phillips, on the other hand, did something so many in the political arena refuse to do. He made an attempt to acquaint himself with MAGA voters â what a novel idea! During one of the Congressmanâs own events for his presidential bid, he noticed a Trump rally across the street, and genuine curiosity compelled him to walk over and talk with the long line of supporters waiting in line to attend.
Much to the chagrin of the CNN reporters interviewing Congressman Philipps, he describes them as âthoughtful hospitable, and friendly.â Wow! He even describes the crowd of those waiting to hear Trumpâs message as diverse. Take a few moments to watch the clip I linked for you. Notice CNN anchor Poppy Harlowâs rapid pivot and the indignation on both of the interviewersâ faces. Priceless.
These women are a microcosm of everything that is wrong with the political class. They donât want to learn about why ordinary Americans are frustrated with their ever-growing government. The elites want to shut down anything that contradicts the lies they robotically regurgitate. If you deviate from the narrative, your livelihood, job, and social status are at stake. That is why so many ordinary citizens are afraid to speak out. They canât afford to lose their job and jeopardize their family.
In contrast, the only people MAGA voters want to be fired are those in the Biden administration and the swamp creatures that have infiltrated our government. For decades, the bureaucracy has existed solely to perpetuate its own survival. Long gone are the days when administrators in government work to serve the interests of the people, and as for the current administration, it seems that everything they do undermines Americaâs strength, freedom, and superiority.
The average Trump voter just wants the government to get out of the way and let them live their lives. The problem is that the elite are so blinded with hatred for one man that they extend that animosity to those who support him. The only solution is to return power to the people by electing those who seek to strengthen the will of the people, not the government.
