The Presidential Race and the Out-of-Touch Elitists Disconnect with America
With less than three weeks to go until the election, we are seeing the final sprint for the White House, as well as control of Congress, and the stakes have never been higher. On one side, we have the Biden-Harris administration continuing to push its narrative of steady progress, though ordinary Americans are feeling anything but secure. And it’s not like Harris has separated herself from the Biden administration. But she does have millions of people who support her and are willing to pull the lever for a Harris administration.
On the other side, we have Donald Trump, who still has the strong support of millions of Americans, despite the relentless attacks from both the media and political elites.
In the last two weeks, while the movement is small, it appears the polling is shifting towards Trump. Vice President Harris has had an abysmal few weeks, and I warned in August that she peaked, and it was only a matter of time before cracks would begin to emerge, and they have.
The polling itself is all over the map, and in all honesty, I can’t really make heads or tails of it. What I mean by that is the polls, both nationally and in the battleground states, have this as a 1-point race constantly shifting between Harris and Trump. Some polls show the gap is slightly bigger, maybe 2-3 points, but they are all within the margin of error.
The reason I can’t make sense of the polls is that when you take a deeper look, you begin to see some flaws. First, off, Trump notoriously underperforms in the polls. That was true in 2016. It was true in 2020, and we have to wait and see about 2024. But it is a real question of whether this underperforming in the polls will continue, and whether he will overperform in the election or is the polling accurate and fewer people are afraid to admit they are supporting him.
Another issue I am seeing in the polling is how Vice President Harris is severely underperforming compared to where President Biden was in 2020, and where Hillary Clinton was in 2016.
Another problem for the Harris campaign. According to Bloomberg and an analysis of polls focusing on demographics, the former President has between 14-30% of the Black vote share. Now, that’s a large spread, but polls are consistently showing between 18-22%. No Republican has received that share of votes from the Black community, and it’s obvious something is going on to see a shift like this. The last Republican to pull in this type of support from the Black community was Nixon. If Trump had won more than 13% of the Black vote share, he would have received more individual Black votes than Nixon did.
When it comes to the Hispanic community, polls show Trump support between 38-45% depending on the poll. The last time a Republican won over 40% of the Hispanic vote was George W. Bush.
And Harris is underperforming in both groups. If these numbers are true, I don’t see how Trump loses this election. That does not mean I am predicting a Trump victory. I am simply pointing out that the polling doesn’t make much sense.
Anyone who tells you they know how this race plays out is lying to you. And any Republican underestimating the Democrat’s get out the vote machine is a fool. Their get-out-the-vote drive is a well-oiled machine.
In any event, how did we get here? Think about it. You have an entire system that has been targeting the former President. You had four felony cases brought against him. You have a weaponized bureaucracy engaging in lawfare. You have state-sponsored media that has provided Vice President Harris and her campaign with 84% positive coverage. Meanwhile, 89% of the coverage regarding former President Trump is negative coverage.
With numbers like that, shouldn’t she be up around 20 points against the former President, and what would his numbers look like if the coverage was more balanced, and the bureaucracy wasn’t totally in the tank for the Vice President?
But it is revealing. It reveals something about the elitists. It illustrates that the political class and the elitists in the media are so out of touch with the real concerns of everyday people that they cannot fathom why someone like Trump continues to dominate the conversation and why people gravitate toward him.
That’s what I am going to talk about today, so when we get back from this quick break, I’ll jump right in.
Break
Elitist Attitudes Toward Inflation, Crime, and Failing Education
Welcome back, everyone. I know every election cycle we say that this race is the most consequential election in our history. One that defines the future of America. It’s become cliché to say, but I am going to say it anyway. This is one of the most consequential races in our history where no matter who wins, both have very different visions of America.
On one hand, you have Vice President Harris and while she does not have a single independent thought, the little she has said in regard to policy has one common theme. The theme is that the government is the solution to every single problem that exists. It’s a platform that empowers the government over ordinary people. The government will give you money. The government will create more regulations to protect you. The government will be the one to decide what you can see and say. Government, government, government.
On the other hand, former President Trump offers a different vision. One that includes the government to a certain degree in regard to building up the military and trade policies, but he is also proposing less government by cutting regulations, appointing Elon Musk to do a thorough review of government waste, and cutting the fat out of the government.
Most importantly, and the biggest difference between the two, while Vice President Harris wants to increase government dependency by handing out cash, Trump says that he wants to reduce government dependency by letting Americans keep more of their money they earned, rather than go to the federal coffers only to be wasted on nonsense.
But the race goes beyond that. It exposes just how out of touch our elites have become. It’s clear that our overlords have a dangerous level of detachment from the issues that actually matter to you and me – issues like inflation, immigration, crime, education, and WWIII.
Just look at the economic situation right now. The Biden-Harris administration continues to boast about low unemployment rates and their so-called ‘economic recovery.’ But what does that really mean for ordinary Americans? How many of you listening right now are struggling to keep up with the cost of groceries, gas, mortgage, or rent?
Sure, the elite class doesn’t feel the pinch. They aren’t worried about filling their gas tank or putting food on the table. For them, rising costs are an inconvenience at most. For far too many Americans, it’s a daily struggle. They have the luxury of dismissing inflation because, to them, it’s just a statistic in an economic report. According to them, don’t believe what’s in your wallet. Don’t believe what’s in your checking account or the balance owed on your credit cards.
Bidenomics is working perfectly, and don’t worry because even though Bidenomics is wreaking havoc on household budgets, if Vice President Harris is elected, she’s going to create an opportunity economy by handing American’s $25,000 for a down payment on a home. $6,000 for having a child, and $50,000 to start a small business.
Can someone remind me how we got the inflation problem in the first place? Oh, that’s right. It was because our government recklessly printed money and handed out cash. Her opportunity economy will do much of the same.
And let’s not forget crime. While major cities experience crime waves, our political elites continue to downplay or outright ignore the impact it has on everyday lives. They say that FBI crime statistics are down, and that the decline of our cities are simply a figment of our imagination. These are the same people who live in gated communities. The same ones that have private security. They are far removed from the violence and instability plaguing urban areas.
When was the last time you saw a politician have to step over homeless people in order to get their children on a school bus? When was the last time a politician went to a CVS where everything is locked up and it takes 30 minutes just to get someone who works there to grab a tube of toothpaste?
How many of these elites are willing to walk down the city streets at 11 o’clock at night? Not in their neighborhoods, but in the neighborhoods they claim that crime is dropping. The elites are more concerned with defunding the police or pushing social justice narratives that have little relevance to the person just trying to survive in this environment of rising crime. And they are lying. When they say that according to FBI statistics, crime is down, what they are not telling you is that a number of cities no longer report the crime stats to the FBI or only partially report their numbers, and we are talking about some of the largest cities.
And we can’t talk about this presidential race without mentioning the disaster that is our public education system. The elites continue to praise the virtues of a public education system that they themselves would never subject their children to.
Public schools are failing, especially in lower-income communities, where resources are scarce and standards have plummeted. But guess what? These elites are not sending their kids to those schools. Their children attend elite private institutions or live in affluent neighborhoods where the public schools actually function. They have no skin in the game, yet they want to dictate the policies that affect millions of families.
As we head toward Election Day, it’s critical to understand that this election is not just a choice between two candidates. It’s a choice between two Americas. One is the America that everyday people like you live in, an America where inflation, crime, and a failing education system are very real problems. The other is the America that the elites live in – a bubble of privilege and power, insulated from the consequences of the policies they champion.
What we’re witnessing is a cultural and political divide that has been years in the making. The elites believe they know what’s best for us, yet they have no idea what our lives are actually like.
Stay with me because, in the next segment, I am going to play a sound clip about how out of touch these people really are. I want to talk about illegal immigration and Biden’s open borders, and you won’t believe how the elites, once again, show just how little they care about the struggles of everyday Americans.
So everyone, hang tight, and we will be right back.

Martha Raddatz, Illegal Immigration, and Aurora, CO
Welcome back, everyone. Let’s zoom in on one particular issue that perfectly encapsulates the disconnect between the elites and most normal people. I want to focus on illegal immigration and its real-world consequences. Over the past several months, we’ve seen reports emerging from Aurora, CO, about Venezuelan gang members taking over apartment complexes. This is not sensationalism. These are real reports from local law enforcement and residents who are living in fear.
Imagine for a second that you live in one of these apartment complexes. You wake up every day have to live in fear. You have no idea when some of the violence spills over into your home or apartment complex. And yet, when the media covers these incidents, it’s either downplayed or ignored altogether. Why? Because it doesn’t fit a particular narrative, but more importantly, it doesn’t affect the elites in their comfortable, gated communities. They don’t have to fear that their neighborhoods will be taken over by violent gangs.
The open-border policies of the Biden-Harris administration have real consequences, and Aurora, CO, shows us how dangerous these consequences can be.
On Sunday, ABC’s Martha Raddatz interviewed Vice Presidential candidate Senator J.D. Vance, and in that interview, she criticized Donald Trump and his campaign for supposedly “demonizing” illegal immigrants by pointing out what’s happening in Aurora. But here’s where the elitism comes in: Raddatz, from her position of comfort, downplayed the entire situation. Take a listen.
Sound Clip Martha Raddatz ABC
The gaul of these people by saying that the incidents were limited to “just a few apartment complexes.” Just a few? As if the fact that crime is contained within a small number of complexes somehow makes it less significant, less concerning.
This is the heart of the out-of-touch elitists “let them eat cake” attitude – because these problems aren’t happening in their neighborhoods, they don’t see them as problems at all. For Martha Raddatz and others in her elite circles, it’s easy to brush aside the fear, anxiety, and disruption that the residents of those “few” apartment complexes are experiencing. They don’t have to live with the threat of violence or see their communities deteriorating. To them, it’s a distant issue, something to minimize and dismiss.
But we should be crystal clear. Whether it’s one apartment complex or one hundred, these are people’s lives we’re talking about.
For Raddatz to reduce the issue to “just a few complexes” shows an astounding lack of empathy and awareness. It’s easy to make these kinds of dismissive comments when you’re sitting comfortably in a studio or living in a secure, affluent neighborhood.
It’s easy to call concerns over illegal immigration fear-mongering when your community isn’t the one being destabilized.
This is the disconnect between the out-of-touch elitists and ordinary Americans. Raddatz, and others like her, aren’t worried about the impact of illegal immigration because it doesn’t touch their lives. They don’t live in Aurora. They aren’t dealing with the crime, the uncertainty, the fear that so many ordinary people face every day. Instead, they downplay the problem and label anyone who dares to raise legitimate concerns as paranoid and xenophobic.
While Aurora may be an extreme example, it isn’t unique. Across the country, we’re seeing stories of violence, murder, increased gang activity, prostitution, theft rings, and it’s ordinary Americans, legal permanent residents, and even illegal immigrants themselves that have to grapple with the consequences of the Biden-Harris open border policies.
But because it doesn’t affect the elites personally, they feel comfortable dismissing it as a minor issue. They don’t understand, and frankly, they don’t care. And that’s why so many Americans are frustrated – because they see these elites brushing off their concerns as if they’re insignificant. And that’s what led to the rise of someone like Trump. Remember, he was the only person who campaigned on this issue in 2016, and a lot of Americans gravitated to him for this very reason.
Now, we need to take a quick break, so hang tight, and I will be right back to wrap things up.

The Out-of-Touch Elitists ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ Mentality Fuels Trump’s Appeal
Welcome back, everyone. So we have to ask the question- Why can’t the elites understand why millions of Americans support someone like Donald Trump? The answer is simple. Because they’re so out of touch with the reality that everyday Americans live in. Their “let them eat cake” attitude blinds them to the frustrations and legitimate concerns of the average citizen, including an America that they see slipping away, and that blindness is the key to understanding Trump’s continued rise.
For years, the elites have failed the American people on issue after issue. Whether it’s the open-border policies that have wreaked havoc in every state, or the rampant inflation that’s crushing family budgets, they just don’t get it. They live in a bubble, completely insulated from the problems the rest of us face. And when someone like Trump comes along and speaks directly to those frustrations, they are baffled. They can’t comprehend why people are drawn to him because they have no idea what real hardship looks like.
It’s not to say that Trump is perfect by any stretch of the imagination. He may be better than some, but he is just a man and another politician. But he is in touch with the concerns of millions of ordinary Americans.
But to the elites, it’s incomprehensible. How could anyone possibly vote for someone like Trump, they wonder?
At the core of this disconnect is the sheer hypocrisy of the elite class. Everything they say and do is nothing more than projection. Just the other day, the former President referred to his opposition as “the enemy from within.”
When he said that, the press and the Democrats went apoplectic. They said he is going to target his opposition. That he is going to silence dissent and criticism. That he will censor anyone who disagrees with him.
Did I miss something isn’t that exactly what they’ve been doing for the last decade?
And not for nothing, I am not a fan of that type of rhetoric. I don’t think that rhetoric is helpful. However, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. These same people were silent when Pelosi publicly called Republicans the “enemies of the state” and “domestic enemies” on CNN and MSNBC. They have amnesia and forget that Pelosi referred to Republicans in Congress as the enemies from within.
Or what about President Biden’s deranged MAGA speech where he declared nearly half the country as “domestic enemies,” and the biggest threat our Republic has ever faced?
I can go on and on about the long list of Democrats who referred to Republicans as domestic terrorists, racists, white supremacists, radical extremists. There is a long list of Democrats that have used the words “purge,” “reeducate,” and “deprogram,” when referring to anyone who doesn’t think like them.
And while I may not like the rhetoric, there is little doubt that the bureaucracy has become thoroughly corrupt. On this podcast, I have provided evidence on numerous occasions of how the bureaucracy has been ideologically weaponized to target dissent.
Trump’s rise is a direct response to the elites’ failure. For years, they’ve dismissed, ignored, or outright mocked the concerns of ordinary Americans. They’ve doubled down on policies that have hurt ordinary Americans and their families. And now, they wonder why millions of people are gravitating toward someone who is willing to call them out, disrupt the system, and speak to the issues they care about.
It’s not that Trump supporters are blind to his flaws – they aren’t. They see those flaws every single day. But for many, Trump represents the first political figure in a long time who seems to understand the frustration and the anger people feel. He’s seen as someone who is authentic. Someone who fights back against the system, against the politicians, the media, and the corporations that have sold out the American people time and time again. And the elites just can’t wrap their heads around that because they will never take the time to speak to the peasant class. Instead, they just judge and demean them.
And they can never fully understand because they’ve never been on the receiving end of their own policies. They’ve never had to live with the consequences of decisions made in Washington, D.C., or New York City. They’ve never had to choose between paying the rent and putting food on the table. Their lives are insulated, and that’s why they’re so out of touch.
Trump’s continued appeal is partly personality and partly policy. It’s about people finally feeling like someone is speaking for them after years of being ignored. And unless the elites can wake up and recognize the legitimate concerns that have led to Trump’s rise, they’re going to keep missing the point.
So, when they mock Trump or call his supporters “deplorables,” what they’re really doing is doubling down on their elitist attitudes. And that’s why, no matter how hard they try, they can’t figure out why so many people would stand by someone like Trump.

This is more than just politics. It’s a cultural divide, and the elites are on one side, looking down on the rest of the country. They don’t understand that Trump represents a pushback – a pushback against a bureaucracy that’s failed too many Americans. Until they recognize that, they’ll keep losing ground to a movement that’s not going away anytime soon.
