Intro

Welcome everyone to another episode of The PAS Report Podcast.

So with a week and a half to go before the most consequential election of our lifetime, I wanted to bring in two great guests to discuss the Electoral College, why the founders decided on the Electoral College to elect our President, and how the Electoral College works because many don’t understand it.

It’s important to recognize the Electoral College is a great system, but it’s currently under threat. There are many who want to do away with the Electoral College and go with a National Popular Vote. This is a horrible idea, and many don’t understand that if we did away with the Electoral College, the States and, We the People, would actually become weaker. We would be giving up an enormous amount of sovereignty to the federal government, and our vote would be diminished.

That’s why I’m bringing in John Crawford from Keep Our 50 States. John understands the importance of the Electoral College and he and his organization are pushing back against the National Popular Vote Movement. John understands the idea of federalism and the important role that states play.

I’m also bringing in New York State Senator George Borrello. Senator Borrello just introduced a bill a few weeks ago, S9039, that will strengthen New York. It’s a bill that will make New York more relevant in presidential elections. Most importantly, it’s a bill that restores the power to the people.

I’ll give you my thoughts on where I see the election, and who knows, maybe I’ll even give you my prediction on what I think will happen.
