Intro
Welcome everyone to another episode of The PAS Report Podcast. This is your host Nick Giordano.
I hope you enjoyed your weekend, and I hope you enjoyed the little bonus episode I dropped on Friday. It was fun getting the perspective of a 9 and 5-year old on whether schools should reopen, and Giovanni and Anthony did excellent, especially considering that we didn’t do any preparation. I was shocked and thought I would have to record it a 100 times.
As for today, I have a great guest coming in. Professor John Yoo will be here to discuss his new book, Defender-in-Chief. As always, I will have links up at The P.A.S. Report on where to go to purchase the book so check it out.
John is a Professor of Law at U.C. Berkeley. He also serves as a visiting scholar to the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution. Professor Yoo clerked for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, served as the general counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice under the George W. Bush administration. He is a man with an impressive resume, and he is someone that has experience within all three branches of government. He is someone that knows and understands the importance of the United States Constitution.
John was also a Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Law at the University of Trento in Italy, and a visiting Professor at the Keio Law School, Seoul National University in South Korea, Chapman Law School, the University of Chicago, and the Free University of Amsterdam. He also received the Paul Bator Award for excellence in legal scholarship and teaching from the Federalist Society.
Basically, you can’t get a more impressive resume than Professor Yoo.
Before I bring in the Professor, go to The P.A.S. Report website, and sign up for the newsletter while you’re there.

Man, I can talk to John all day. He has so much knowledge that I would love to get his thoughts on. I’m glad he could take the time to join us, and I am grateful.
