[Intro Transcript] These days, there is no shortage of things to talk about. It seems like every day there’s something new. Whether it’s the failed policies of this administration, some new scandal, or the complete and utter lack of regard for We the People, it gets so frustrating.

Where did we go so wrong? That’s a rhetorical question and there are so many different ways to approach that, but we have lost our way and it really seems like so many people are content with the incompetence of the government. So many people have no problem with the insane and irresponsible spending of our hard-earned tax dollars. So many people are content as our liberty is under siege.

And we can’t simply blame this administration or just the Democrats. Sure, they are major contributors, but the problem lies with Republicans too, and we need to call it out.

So the bureaucrat class and the elected officials have forgotten what they are there to do. They have forgotten that they exist to serve us and that we don’t exist to serve them. They have forgotten what public service is all about.

Just look at Governor Newsom from California. This week, President Biden will be meeting with Xi Jinping at the APEC summit being held in San Francisco. Officials have decided that it is time to clear out the homeless encampments. Not only that, but they erected heavy-duty fencing to secure the area and prevent the encampments from returning.

It’s amazing how barriers work when you want them to, whether it’s a wall or a fence. Remember how they constantly tell us walls don’t work?

But the worst part was that Newsome was asked about this, and his response was revealing take a listen.

Did you hear that? Governor Newsome in his own words. “Folks say: ‘Oh, they’re just cleaning up this place because all those fancy leaders are coming into town.’

“That’s true because it’s true.”

They don’t even pretend anymore. So it’s not about the homeless Americans and getting them the care they need. It’s not about the residents who have to live in San Francisco. It’s not about the businesses that have to suffer and lose business because no one wants to walk through a homeless encampment to get to their places of business.

He also said this.

It’s all about foreign dignitaries. You clean your house when guests come. Well, I keep my house clean all the time, guests or no guests. Do you know why? Because I like to care of where I live, whether it’s my home or community.

But see, that’s what people like Newsom think about the American people. He views the people as trash, and he will clear what they deem as trash for foreign leaders. This example illustrates how out of touch and how little regard the political class has for the people they’ve sworn to serve. When it comes to foreign leaders, Governor Newsom and company roll out the red carpet. However, when it comes to American citizens- let them eat cake. It’s his Marie Antoinette moment, and he doesn’t want San Francisco to look like a 3rd world country to foreign leaders. But what about Americans?

It shows that if they really wanted to tackle California’s homeless problem, they could. Sadly, it’s Americans who suffer. But you know what, at what point do the people of San Francisco and California accept their share of the blame? You put up with this crap. You complain about it, but you’ll still put up with it. You’ll elect and reelect the same people because you think the other side is worse. Good luck with that. Enjoy the short reprieve because these encampments will quickly return once the show is over.
