As democracy and democratic values are continuing to be undermined, the United States, and other so-called liberal democracies, hosted the Summit for Democracy. President Biden opened the Summit and there were a number of breakout sessions to explore the erosion of democratic principles and discuss ways to revitalize democracy throughout the world. Of course, there was no self-reflection of how so-called liberal democracies completely undermined the concept of democracy with their authoritarian policies and the complete lack of regard for the people they serve.
