Welcome to The P.A.S. Report Podcast.

My goodness. Governor DeSantis’s stunt is still reverberating throughout the political world, and politicians and the talking heads are being exposed for the frauds they are.

Last week I did an entire episode about the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party, and I discussed the public virtue signaling they regularly engage in. Little did I know I would essentially be doing a part two episode.

The ruling elite, the politicians, and the talking heads are so predictable that it’s almost becoming boring at this point, but I have to laugh because these people have no sense of self-awareness whatsoever. They’re all screaming that Governor DeSantis and Governor Abbott are using migrants as political props and that this is political theater.

Umm, just so everyone is aware, everything in politics is political theater. It’s the nature of the beast. What would you call President Biden’s 1930-style authoritarian speech? That was the height of political theater, from giving the speech at Independence Hall to the red lights to the Marines in the background to accusing nearly 50% of the country of being fascists and domestic terrorists. That was all theater.

And yes, what Governors DeSantis and Abbott are doing is also political theater. The question isn’t about whether it’s political theater. The question is the effectiveness of that political theater. President Biden looks like a 1930s dictator, not so effective. Governors DeSantis and Abbott sent migrants to sanctuary states, cities, and locales, exposing how the left really feels about migrants, now, that was very effective.

I’m going to get into the open border thing this episode. I’ll point out the frauds. The politicians, the talking heads, and the elite, especially when it comes to the migrants and people that aren’t like them. And these are migrants, at least for now because they have legal asylum claims. Once someone misses their court date or if they fail to check in at their nearby ICE office when they settle, that’s when they become an illegal immigrant. Well, that, or when they illegally cross the border or overstay their visas.

I think it’s important to define that because we have to be accurate when we talk about this topic, and we have to distinguish between what’s legal and what’s illegal. We also have to recognize that our asylum laws are broken, and too many take advantage of that. Asylum cannot be claimed for economic purposes, and that’s the real intent of most people coming over.

This was a much more serious piece where I continue to show how the Biden administration and most democrats are attempting to weaponize the government and target any dissent. Remember, it’s not about MAGA Republicans, it’s about political opposition and I explain in the piece how they use the MAGA label as a weapon. It’s the new Scarlet Letter. Anyone who objects to the administration or the far-left democrat agenda gets branded with the M label.

Political Theater and Calling the Left’s Bluff

All right let’s get into it. So last week, Governor Abbott sent migrants to the Border Czar’s home in Washington DC. Governor Abbott has been doing this for a month now, and he’s also sent them to New York City, Chicago, Illinois, and a few other areas. Every area chosen has declared itself a sanctuary city or state.

Then, Governor DeSantis sent 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, and that was the icing on the cake. It set off a firestorm. Heads were exploding on air, as the left couldn’t hide their rage.

They were outraged. “How dare Governor DeSantis use these poor migrants as political pawns in their sick game of politics.” The nerve of Republicans to have the audacity to send these people to states and jurisdictions that have declared themselves as sanctuaries. Of course, How dare these governors for sending these people to places where the officials constantly preach about tolerance, acceptance, diversity, and any other virtue signaling label you can apply.

Of course, it’s not that many on the left are nothing but a bunch of frauds, it’s because Governor Abbott, Governor DeSantis, and Republicans as a whole are racist. Take a listen.

According to these people, moving migrants to other locations is white supremacy. I mean, if that’s what they’re going with, wouldn’t that make President Biden the grand wizard of the klan, and wouldn’t that make the Vice President, Secretary Mayorkas, and Secretary Buttigieg his henchmen?

Consider that this administration was shuttling tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of migrants around the country throughout the last two years. They would do it in the dark of night, and use trains, planes, and buses. Once they got to their destination, they were given some money and told to move along. So how exactly is what the governors are doing any different?

Oh, that’s right, when Republicans do it, it’s because it’s racist. It’s not that they are overwhelmed. It’s not that they have been complaining for over a year now. See, only the border states and the red states bear the burden of migration.

And that’s exactly what they want. Just listen to the DC Mayor and a DC city councilmember cry about how Governor Abbott is turning them into a border town.

Do these people even think before they speak? They openly advocate for migrants. They declare themselves sanctuaries. They preach about tolerance, diversity, and welcoming immigrants, but the second they get a dozen busloads of migrants, they scream about how unfair it is. They scream about how they aren’t equipped to handle the problem, and they shouldn’t have to accept migrants.

Remember, every time they preach about openness and welcoming immigrants, it’s political theater. They don’t care. It goes back to what I said last week. It is much easier to preach and virtue signal without having to back up your words. Without having to sacrifice in any way.

Martha’s Vineyard

This brings me to Martha’s Vineyard where the Biden administration, the Democrats, and the press, had a complete meltdown over 53 migrants being sent their way.

The average household income throughout the United States is about $67,000, and that’s falling and will fall even further once the full impact of the economic storm is felt.

Now let’s take a look at Martha’s Vineyard where the average household income is nearly $133,000. Just about double the median income of the entirety of the United States. The average home price throughout the United States is $428,000. The average home price on Martha’s Vineyard is $1,035,000.

Martha’s Vineyard is one of the top tourist destinations for the wealthy elite.

You would think that the public virtue signalers would be welcoming of these migrants. While Texas, Arizona, and other states have had to absorb tens of thousands, in some cases of hundreds of thousands of migrants, that Martha’s Vineyard would have no problem absorbing 50.

According to Martha’s Vineyard’s website, there are more than 80 lodging options on the island. Also, take into consideration that it is now the offseason on Martha’s Vineyard, so there is plenty of space to house these migrants.

You would think with all eyes on the island, there would have been just a little self-awareness, that they constantly lecture everyone else so let’s take a listen to the talking heads’ reaction to the political theater.

Oh, my goodness. They are so angry. They are so emotional. When you take a step back and listen to these people, they are hysterical. It’s cruel to send them to Martha’s Vineyard where the overwhelming majority of Americans will never be able to afford and set foot on the island.

It shocks the conscious. It’s unchristian to send migrants to a wealthy elite community. It’s not a political stunt, it’s an act of evil. I love how they bring up what’s Christian and unchristian as they constantly denigrate people with faith. It’s evil to send migrants to one of the most exclusive communities in the United States. I mean these people are devoid of reality.

Come on. Even if you disagree with me on all the political issues, you have to admit how unhinged these people sound and how they exposed themselves for the phonies they are.

Then you have the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. Take a listen to what she had to say.

The migrants deserve better than being left in DC. The migrants deserve better than being left in Martha’s Vineyard. Now if she meant it because of all the blowhards in DC and Martha’s Vineyard, that’s one thing. Many of these people are some of the most miserable people you’ll ever meet. They may have wealth and power, but many of them are unhappy and are not fun to be around. So if that’s what the press secretary was referring to, I’d agree, but somehow I don’t think she was referring to that.

I want to ask a serious question. She says the migrants deserve better. Do you think the migrants would have been better off being dropped in the South Bronx, Oakland, or New Orleans? Think about it logically. Martha’s Vineyard is one of the safest and wealthiest communities. I’m sure most migrants would prefer to be there than most of the urban areas where we are seeing a surge in crime. Hell, I’m sure most Americans from the high crime areas would love and prefer to settle in Martha’s Vineyard.

Martha’s Vineyard Doesn’t Have the Capabilities

Now, as I said before, this is one of the wealthiest communities. There’s plenty of hotel space given that it’s the offseason. There are plenty of homes on Air BNB, but understand, you don’t understand the burdens that the Martha’s Vineyard community faces, and how difficult it is to care for 50 migrants.

They are struggling. That struggle is real. Just take a listen to this gem.

At some point in time, they have to leave. They can’t take care of 50 immigrants. They don’t have housing for 50 more people. Again, you don’t understand the migrants just don’t fit in with the community and so they have got to go.

You cannot make this stuff up. These are the same people that will constantly virtue signal and believe they are morally superior to everyone else.

And the kicker is, that after this political theater, a PR executive from New York had the audacity to start a Martha’s Vineyard GoFundMe. It was to help the island contend with “future migrants” and would be distributed to a local non-profit that already has $16 million on hand.

You want to talk about the nerve of these people. This is one of the most exclusive places in the country, with some of the richest people in the United States, but let’s get ordinary people who are struggling to pay their current bills to donate money. Talk about being tone def.

And of course, once they were called out, the GoFundMe was deleted. I’m telling you. You cannot make this stuff up. Again, no sense of self-awareness whatsoever.

Oh, Professor Giordano, you are misleading your audience. The people of Martha’s Vineyard came together to help these migrants. They provided them with a meal and a place to sleep.

That’s true, but then they booted their asses off the island. In less than two days, they had the National Guard pick them up to take them to a military base. Wow, the brave public virtue signalers fed human beings for a whopping two days. The migrants should be grateful for the difficult sacrifices the residents of Martha’s Vineyard had to make. Do you know how much effort that took?

And I’ll tell you when you read the headlines, you can’t help but laugh. I picked the best one. A CNN article. The title of the article was, “‘They enriched us.’ Migrants’ 44-hour visit leaves indelible mark on Martha’s Vineyard.” The article starts, “After sharing hugs and teary goodbyes with the roughly 50 migrants who had unexpectedly arrived by plane.”

Another part read, “Martha’s Vineyard had not been expecting them but a small army of activists mobilized to help people who had become pawns in the contentious debate over America’s broken immigration system.”

Then they quoted an immigration attorney from Boston who went to the island to speak to the migrants. She said, “We’ve got their backs and they are not alone.” They certainly had the migrants’ backs. A day later they booted them out of there.

Another person stated, “We’re used to dealing with people in need and we’re super happy – like they enriched us, we’re happy to help them on their journey.” Yeah, as long as the journey doesn’t end with them staying in Martha’s Vineyard. Man, these people are so smug, and just imagine how they are patting themselves on the back.

I could only imagine how they are explaining this to their friends. I will guarantee you that when they are talking about the plight of these migrants, how much do you want to bet that the story always revolves around themselves? How much do you want to bet that they use the word I far more than any other word when they are recounting how wonderful they are for talking to people and making a plate of food for people who aren’t like them?

That’s the Point

But the lady in the clip I played a little while ago did say something very revealing. She said we don’t have social services here, and isn’t that the point?

Why don’t they have social service offices? In fact, why doesn’t any wealthy elite community have social services that can help migrants resettle in those communities?

The answer is simple and obvious. It’s because they don’t want these people in their communities. While they preach and publicly virtue signal, they are some of the most closed-minded and judgmental people you can find.

Unfortunately, the already struggling communities have to bear the challenges. It is sad. Here’s the amazing part, the Democrats, and the public virtue signalers constantly preach they are advocates for minority communities. They claim they are advocates for women. They claim they are advocates for the lower socioeconomic communities, but they’re not. They are frauds.

I constantly talk about how disadvantaged communities are being taken advantage of. I constantly talk about the policies that are harming disadvantaged communities. I talk about the crumbling infrastructure. The failing schools. The crime.

Am I a good person for doing so? No, I’m just stating the obvious. I also find it interesting how many of us will call out this nonsense and talk about the harm being done to these communities. We stand up for these communities because they are our fellow people. Our fellow Americans, and guess what? We are well aware that most of these people from these communities would never vote for a conservative, but I will consistently stand up for them because it’s more important than any vote. I do hope they open their eyes and recognize that they consistently vote for those who are imposing policies that hurt, not help, these communities.

Disaster can strike at any time. Be prepared and know that your family is well fed.

Arrest the Human Traffickers

Then you have those calling for charging Governor DeSantis with human trafficking. People like that pathetic fraud Gavin Newsom. Umm. These people aren’t that bright. They are pretty dumb. While sending migrants to sanctuary states, cities, and locales may be political theater, it is not a criminal act.

To be charged with human trafficking, there must be evidence that you seek to exploit “a person for labor, services, or commercial sex.”

Others want DeSantis to be charged with kidnapping. They say under Title 8 U.S. Code 1324, there is a prohibition of transporting or attempting to transport migrants. Again, this is a fail. That’s about human smuggling. It has nothing to do with sovereign states transporting migrants voluntarily and at no cost to them.

Finally, the lack of self-awareness is astonishing. They don’t see how baseless the accusations are, but let’s just say they could target Governor DeSantis, Governor Abbott, or Governor Ducey with these charges, then what about the Biden administration?

Consider that Republican governors have sent nearly 13,000 migrants to blue cities throughout the country. Just so you are aware, we just set a record with over 2 million encounters on our southern border, and these are the people that turned themselves over to Border Patrol. This does not include the number of illegal immigrants who successfully evaded Border Patrol.

But you’re misleading the audience, Professor Giordano. Not all those border encounters result in migrants staying. Many are turned back at the border. Okay, well, according to a NY Times report, they estimate that the administration has allowed more than 1 million migrants to stay in the United States. That’s not a firm number. It’s an estimate using Department of Homeland Security data and court filings. You can bet, that if the NY Times says it’s 1 million, it is probably close to 1.5 million, but let’s just use the NY Times number. So, the 13,000 number from Republican governors would represent 1.3%.

Now, let’s take a look at the Biden administration. His administration has shipped off tens of thousands, maybe even a hundred thousand migrants, all over the country with no notice to the states. We don’t know the exact number because the administration won’t release those numbers. It would be nice if we had a press and a congress that demanded accountability because we should know. And he isn’t the first President to do it. It’s been happening over the last several administrations, just not to this scale.

And just so everyone is aware, so far, we have spent $20.4 billion dollars on the migrants released in the United States. That dollar number is increasing exponentially. Remind me again what a border wall was supposed to cost. Oh yeah, but it was too expensive.

Amazingly, after the Martha’s Vineyard political theater, the Biden administration convened a meeting with cabinet heads and White House officials to discuss litigation options against the republican governors.

Isn’t amazing how quickly they convene a meeting to target republican governors? I mean when it comes to targeting political opponents, they move with lightning speed.

We should ask how many meetings were convened with cabinet heads and White House officials to stop the unending flow of migrants coming into the country. How many meetings have been convened to discuss the fentanyl epidemic and how it’s killing Americans, over 100,000 last year, and how it’s destroying families?

I don’t know, but call me crazy, but maybe instead of targeting political opposition, they should tackle the issues that have real consequences. Life and death consequences. I’m just saying. Maybe they should go to the border, or better yet, they should do the journey themselves. Maybe then they will see the rape trees. The migrant deaths. The murders. Human trafficking. Drug trafficking. See, if they had to do the journey themselves, perhaps they would stop the political theatrics, and actually put an end to the open border. That sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

Closing

As I said in the beginning, everything in politics is political theater. This is no different. The question will always be was it effective political theater and the answer is yes. The Republican governors have exposed the public virtue signalers for the frauds they are.

It’s easy to preach, but when they are forced to live by what they preach, they reveal their true colors. Unfortunately, there are too many people like that, especially in politics.

But the whole incident was very revealing. For the last 9 years, I’ve said that when we are resettling migrants, they should always go to the zip codes that have the resources and infrastructure to take care of these people. No more sending them to the lower and middle socioeconomic communities that are already struggling and can’t even deal with the issues they already have.

The same holds true for bail reform. Do you want bail reform? Fine. Then build halfway houses in all the elite communities and those released without bail have to stay in the elite communities until their trial. Enough with burdening those who are affected by the virtue signaling policies. Until you are ready to walk the walk, just keep your mouths shut.
