They continue to mount an enormous and unsustainable debt burden- wasting hard-earned tax dollars. Even worse, is how the money wasted does little to benefit America or the American people. It is time to restore fiscal sanity and hold the politicians accountable for saddling us with debt.

Intro

On Monday’s episode, I spoke with Dr. Victor Davis Hanson. During our discussion, he brought up an excellent point that is worth revisiting.

If you haven’t listened to that episode yet, you should. Dr. Hanson is an intellectual giant, and he’s right. If we want to correct course, we can’t say we need to go back to the policies a few years ago. While some of those policies were good and beneficial to the United States, the sad reality is that many of the most important problems were ignored or made worse.

One of those problems is the financial health of the United States and that’s what I want to focus on in this episode. Our politicians have abdicated their responsibilities when it comes to being good stewards of our hard-earned tax dollars.

They spend an enormous amount of money and have shown they have no regard for how they spend your money. They don’t pass budgets in regular order, and they continue to raise the debt ceiling.

If we continue this trend, it will only be a matter of time before the entire house of cards collapses, turning the wealthiest nation in the world into Zimbabwe.

The blame lies with both parties. Republicans talked a good game when it came to fiscal responsibility, but when they were in power, they spent just as much as the Democrats.

In this episode, I want to discuss the fiscal disaster. I want to explain how those in power don’t care how they spend your money. More importantly, I want to focus on the things we can do to restore fiscal sanity. It’s not that hard to fix this problem. The biggest obstacle is whether the politicians will ever have the cojones and the will to do it before it’s too late.
