Episode Description
Presidents week is upon us and sadly, former President Jimmy Carter is not doing well. In this episode, Professor Giordano briefly talks about President Carter. He then gets into the political corruption and the dangers of weaponizing government. It seems decades-old political positions are now being labeled as an extremist with the intention of marginalizing dissent. This goes beyond the culture war and is an authoritarian movement, disguised as progress, challenging the glue that holds our society together.

Welcome to The P.A.S. Report Podcast.
Given that it’s President’s week, it should serve as a reminder that we all have a role to play in shaping the future of our country while respecting our traditions and our past. We can all strive to embody the values and qualities of past great leaders.
See, past Presidents can be great examples of courage and integrity in a time of chaos and division.
Over the last few decades, but accelerating over the last few years, we are witnessing a sustained and coordinated attack on our history, including the Presidents, in an effort to undermine the American identity and weaken the glue that holds America together.
It’s funny that the woke revolution constantly accuses anyone that dissents from them of wanting to whitewash history, but the truth is canceling presidents is the ultimate whitewash of history.
Erasing past presidents results in a dumbed-down version of America that does a disservice to our past, our present, and our future.
I always talk about teaching the totality of America, both the good and the bad, this includes the presidency. Some of our Presidents have done remarkable things and were able to hold the fabric of the country together, even when it appeared the country would collapse. However, they rose to meet the challenges.
And while many of our Presidents have done great things, and some not so great, we should recognize that they are human beings. Therefore, they are naturally flawed. Applying 21st century standards to those living in the 18th, 19th, and even the early 20th century shows just how simple-minded so many people have become. Looking for easy answers rather than understanding the complexities of our history, including our leaders.
Every day we hear vicious attacks on the idea of America, from our founding through the present day. Some call this the new culture war, but it goes beyond the culture war. This is an authoritarian movement disguised as what some deem as progress.
But just think about the last few years. Think about everything going on today. Does it feel like progress to you? To me, it feels like we have taken a giant step back when it comes to some issues, and a giant step forward toward a dystopian future where only one narrative will be tolerated.
