Social justice warriors easily criticize America, but their silence on China is deafening. Free Speech and the Supreme Court is just another ideological battleground.

Intro

Welcome everyone to another episode of The PAS Report Weekly Roundup Podcast. This is your host Nick Giordano.

Today we will continue to call out the attempts to remake America and destroy our institutions. Leftists are looking to destroy American society. I call them leftists because I differentiate them from the classical Liberals. Liberals were people who cared about government abuse. Liberals are people who are suspicious of government power. Liberals generally fight for the rights of all people, not just those they agree with. Sadly, classical liberals are a dying breed, and the leftists have taken full control.

This week I want to talk about how the leftists want to hijack America and our institutions. That once-great organizations have become nothing more than ideological tools of the leftists. Groups like the ACLU that used to stand for principles, but now just conform to an extreme ideology. More and more leftists are looking to control speech. They are looking to undo this President’s entire administration, and the Supreme Court has become another battleground in their effort.

I want to focus on the idea of free speech, give a brief impeachment update, and examine how the radical left is looking to change the Supreme Court for ideological purposes.

While we can agree or disagree with some of the Supreme Court’s decisions, this is the one institution Americans largely respect. Tampering with the Supreme Court for ideological purposes is dangerous, and if these leftists are successful, a legislative branch will be irrelevant as those on the left want Supreme Court Justices to legislate from the bench as opposed to interpret the Constitution and determine the intent of the founding fathers.

Social justice warriors are social justice cowards

I wasn’t going to talk about the NBA on the podcast, but these hypocrites are driving me nuts. I am sick and tired of these social justice warriors dictating to me what a bad country the United States is, yet their silence on the human rights abuses of China is deafening. They should not be considered social justice warriors. They are social justice cowards. They don’t have any real moral standards, and they only care about the almighty dollar. It’s all about greed, and they are useful idiots.

I don’t normally care what entertainers and athletes say because I think most are morons and simply say things to try and fit in. However, the NBA as a whole, and many individuals within the NBA routinely criticize the United States. People like Steve Kerr and LeBron James are constantly bashing the United States as a place of injustice, and believe America is inherently a racist and bigoted country. They show disdain for our history, yet they don’t even know or understand our history.

So when I see Lebron James make a statement about people being uneducated about the Hong Kong situation, and people should keep their mouths shut, it pisses me off. Then this moron had the nerve to say, “Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but there can be a lot of negative that comes with that too.”

Freedom of Speech is essential to our system, and it is what makes the United States the greatest country on Earth. America is an exceptional nation, and I have no qualms about saying that. Free speech is a cornerstone of the American way. It encourages debate and dialogue. It cultivates change and advancement. As James Madison once said, “For the people to rule wisely, they must be free to think and speak without fear of reprisal.”

However, leftists want to control the debate. They want to silence anyone who dissents from their point-of-view. They use labels like racists, bigots, misogynists to control speech. Anything that deviates from a narrow-minded point-of-view is deemed offensive.

As I said before, Example- Immigration debate. If someone benignly says they support controlling the border with a wall and the United States cannot accept anyone and everyone, the mob labels you a racist and intolerant of immigrants.

Example- If you pass regulations on abortion and take a pro-life position, the mob declares you a misogynist and wants to take away women’s access to healthcare.

Example- If you refuse to bake a cake for a religious ceremony because it goes against your own religious beliefs, the mob declares you a bigot and attempts to shut down your business.

Example- If you use the term radical Islam or Islamic extremists when discussing terrorism, you hate Muslims and have Islamophobia.

Example- If you believe in gun rights and the 2^nd Amendment, you are labeled as someone who hates children, and you are nothing more than a white nationalist (which is racist in itself). That idiot, Steve Kerr, tried to compare legal gun owners with communist China. He equates the human rights abuses of the Chinese government, torturing and slaughtering thousands, is akin to gun ownership in the U.S.

Whether you agree with those positions is irrelevant. People have a right to take policy positions and to speak up on the issues that concern them, and these morons should not be the moral arbiters of right policy positions and wrong policy positions.

Yet their hypocrisy knows no bounds. The NBA and the NBA players are rock stars in China. They can have an enormous amount of influence by speaking up as to the regular human rights abuses occurring every day. They can speak up about the reeducation camps that are nothing more than torture and death camps for Muslims. They can speak up about the animal abuses that regularly occur. They can speak about China destroying the environment. They can speak up about those who have been imprisoned for speaking out against the Communist rule. Yet they want to make money and, so they remain silent. They have no credibility.

I am tired of the advocacy media saying how brave someone is when they bash the United States. It’s not brave. It is easy to criticize the United States because we are a free country. They are taking no risks. They know their stature will be elevated, and they will be rewarded. Do you think Kaepernick made more money since leaving the NFL or less money? What’s brave is speaking out when there is a risk to your finances. It’s brave when you speak out even though it can ultimately lead to your death. Taking cheap shots at the United States is just dumb, not brave.

Impeachment Update

But before I get into the Supreme Court, I just want to provide a brief update on the political impeachment. Another week of more fake outrage from the usual players, including our advocacy media. We still don’t have much in the way of new information, but if you listen to the media, you would think a ton of evidence has been presented, and the President should be removed immediately.

Don’t believe their hype. The weasel Adam Schiff and the company continue to try to keep everything hidden from the public.

We are also learning more about the so-called whistleblower. Adam Schiff is trying to block the whistleblower’s identity at all costs. Once again, just ask why? Well, as it turns out, the so-called whistleblower had a professional relationship with Joe Biden when he was Vice President. Adam Schiff now says that the so-called “Whistleblower” may not testify at all.

That’s outrageous. This whole thing started because of the whistleblower complaint, and we have a right to know who the whistleblower is and to hear from the whistleblower.

I called it last week, and I told you this individual has ties to the Former CIA Director and one of the lead Trump haters, John Brennan. While reports have not surfaced that this person had ties to John Brennan, there is no way in hell a high-level CIA policy person, stationed to the White House, doesn’t report to the CIA Director.

Ask yourself why Democrats refuse to hold a vote and why do they refuse to make the process transparent, as was done in previous impeachments. In the past, members of Congress recognized how divisive and dangerous impeachment was, so they wanted all Americans to be engaged throughout the process.

Congress wants to keep all the testimony and documents in lockdown. They want to prevent Republicans from issuing subpoenas, and they don’t want White House lawyers to be able to cross-examine any witnesses.

Democrats need to start convincing the American public that the President engaged in some type of illegal activity. To win public opinion, and make Republicans begin to abandon President Trump, they need to start laying out the evidence that suggests the President committed and an impeachable offense.

We have a smart and engaged audience here at The PAS Report, so I’ll ask you. Why do you think Democrats are keeping everything behind closed doors? If they had the goods on President Trump, why wouldn’t they want the testimonies in public? Why wouldn’t they release all the documents so that the public can take a look for themselves? Why don’t they want the whistleblower to testify? As I always say, the simplest questions usually will reveal what’s going on.

By using commonsense, you all know what’s happening. They hate this man and will do whatever it takes to get rid of him. They don’t believe he is worthy of the presidency, and more importantly, they have less regard for the voters that put him there. As I told you, impeachment has serious implications beyond this Congress and this President, and the people need to hold our elected officials accountable. Those pushing the impeachment crap know it will divide us further, but they don’t care. They are on a seek and destroy mission in an effort to take power and control the masses.

The Supreme Court

The battle over the Supreme Court has intensified dramatically throughout the 2000s, and many democrats are still mad about the Merrick Garland nomination, which I understand. While he wouldn’t have been my kind of Justice, he was qualified for the bench.

But with the nomination of Justice Kavanaugh, many Democrats have lost their minds. From phony accusations to calls for his impeachment, this is something that we have not witnessed before. Some are still calling for Justice Kavanaugh to be impeached.

However, the real danger lies in the calls to increase the number of seats on the Supreme Court, and these calls have been growing louder and louder. Unsatisfied with the current leanings of the court, some are calling to pack the court with liberal justices. Before I get into the dangers of packing the court, we need to recognize why the Supreme Court is so important.

The importance of the Supreme Court

The Constitution does not specify the number of Justices on the Court. The Constitution gives Congress broad discretion over the court system, as outlined in Article 3, Section 1. “The Judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.”

The number of justices on the Supreme Court fluctuated throughout our early history. In the Judiciary Act of 1789, the first Supreme Court was established with six Justices. The Judiciary Act of 1801 was passed and reduced the number of Justices to five. This was an effort by President Adams to stymie the incoming President, Thomas Jefferson. Once President Jefferson came into office, the number of Justices was restored to six, and in 1807, the number of Justices was increased to seven. In 1937, under President Andrew Jackson, two more Justices were added to the Supreme Court, bringing the number to nine.

The Civil War was a tumultuous time in the United States, and a 10th Justice was added to the Supreme Court in 1863. However, following the Civil War and the Reconstruction Era, the Judiciary Act of 1869 was passed, bringing the number of Supreme Court Justices back to nine. It has been nine ever since.

President Roosevelt was bitter when the Supreme Court struck down key provisions in the National Industries Recovery Act in the 1935 case Schechter Poultry v. United States. In 1937, President Roosevelt threatened to pack the Court with more ideological Justices. He wanted more Justices who would be sympathetic to his argument, but the idea was highly unpopular. President Roosevelt abandoned the idea when new vacancies arose.

But this reinforces what I said last week that those who want to remake the United States and destroy our institutions offer nothing more than regurgitated, failed ideas. They are not creative, and there is nothing new or bold of their vision. It is one we have seen throughout history and amounts to nothing more than a way to usurp power.

Democrats fear President Trump will be able to name another Justice

Many Democrats are fearful that President Trump may be able to select more Justices. Health concerns and age plague Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Also, Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Stephen Breyer are old, and retirement is a possibility. If this happens, expect the Democrats to go to DEFCON 1. Their reaction will be nuclear.

The current threats to the Supreme Court

They lost their minds with Kavanaugh. Imagine what it would be like if the President gets to name another Justice.

Many presidential hopefuls and many Democrats in Congress have renewed the idea of adding seats to the Supreme Court to make the Court go far to the left.

These people believe in judicial activism, and they want the Supreme Court not to interpret the Constitution, but to make laws. Some have openly threatened the Supreme Court to rule a particular way on issues. They say President Trump has no regard for the constitution, but look at how they treat the Constitution. They accuse President Trump of showing a “disdain for an independent judiciary,” yet when the Supreme Court agreed to hear a challenge on New York City’s restriction on gun owners, Democrat Senators filed a brief with the Supreme Court. The brief stated, “The Supreme Court is not well, And the people know it. Perhaps the Court can heal itself before the public demands it is restructured to reduce the influence of politics.” (Chicago Tribune)

This is wrong and politically dangerous. Even Justice Ginsburg says it’s a bad idea, and she is one of the most liberal on the court.

No one should threaten retribution to get the Court to rule a certain way. Ideology has infected all aspects of government, and as I have shown over the last couple of months, all aspects of government are being weaponized.

Democrats, being encouraged by the advocacy news media, have been openly calling to pack the courts for ideological purposes ever since the Kavanaugh appointment. These calls are not coming from the fringe or AOC and the Squad. They are coming from many of the presidential candidates and those considered part of the establishment, including Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Beto O’Rourke. The Supreme Court’s purpose is not to legislate from the bench. Judicial activism should not be tolerated. Its purpose is not to push an ideological vision regardless if the vision is liberal or conservative. The Supreme Court’s role is to strictly interpret the Constitution, ensure government adheres to the guiding principles set forth by the founding fathers, and to protect the rights of the citizens of the United States.

Packing the court for ideological purposes sets a dangerous precedent going forward. It is important for Democrats to recognize if they try to pack the Supreme Court with justices that will legislate from the bench, Republicans will do the same thing once they regain power.

Closing

I recognize many of the candidates are just paying lip service to the base, but it is dangerous to threaten packing the Supreme Court for ideological purposes. Republicans shouldn’t do it, nor should the Democrats. We have had nine Justices since 1869, and there are no compelling reasons to add or remove the seats. It is important for us to speak up to make sure we continue to have an independent judiciary.

As stated before, the Supreme Court is the one institution that has remained largely traditional, and Americans still respect even though we may not always agree with the decisions they render.

Americans need to wake-up to what’s going on. We need to push back against the radical leftists. If they succeed, it will not end well for the United States. We will become another 3^rd world country. American exceptionalism will be gone.

We need to work with moderate and blue dog democrats to amplify their voices over the AOC’s and the radical leftists. I encourage the real Democrats to take back their party. The radical leftists are controlling the narrative, but they have an extreme minority opinion.

We need to call out the hypocrisy on all sides and hold people to account. We are constantly being preached/dictated to. Say no more. When is Bernie Sanders, Michael Moore or anyone else that preaches income equality going to give up half their wealth? When are the elites that constantly dictate about climate change going to reduce their carbon footprint? When are people like LeBron James going to stand-up against real human rights abuses?

The PAS Report will continue to call out the wrongs within our society regardless of the political party.
