Happy New Year, and I hope your 2024 is off to a great start. Given everything going on, this will be one of the most pivotal years in our history. The question is whether America has crossed the Rubicon, and if we are at a point of no return, or whether we will start getting back to some semblance of sanity.
I do believe people are starting to open their eyes out there. However, opening our eyes to what is taking place is not enough. We must remember who we are as Americans and bring back an appreciation for American values and principles. We have to restore the American identity, but the only way to restore the American identity is to learn about the country. Learn about the founders and our founding. Understand the system they created, and why they created it.
Only when you learn about the United States can you gain a true appreciation for our country and the concepts of liberty, freedom, and limited government. If we do that, we can begin to get back on track. But like anything else in life, it is not easy and it takes dedication and work. Can it be done? The answer is a resounding yes. Do we have the will? I can’t answer that question, and I guess only time will tell.
What I do know is that we continue to commit national suicide through self-inflicted wounds. And it’s not just our nation. It’s the entire Western world.
To kick off this year, I am going to talk about three topics. I want to talk about the pro-Palestinian protests, the military leadership within the Department of Defense, and the Epstein documents that are slated to be released this week. All these topics are important, and they all show where we are going wrong as a nation.
And I want to start with how I started my 2024 where I spent an hour in traffic to go one friggin mile because pro-Palestinian protesters decided to block off accessways to JFK airport creating a traffic disaster.
I am so sick of the public virtue signaling where certain people and groups can spew anti-American and antisemitic rhetoric. Those protesting are frauds, but even worse, they truly believe they have a right to inconvenience everyone else.
Now, some will attack and criticize me or call me a snowflake because I am complaining about sitting in an hour of traffic to go one mile. They’ll argue that I’m complaining about traffic as people are dying in Gaza.
They’ll call me a hypocrite by screaming that they have the freedom to protest. These are the same people who shout down speakers and try to silence those they disagree with.
Also, you’re right to protest does not give you the right to infringe on my liberties, including my freedom of movement. Shutting down major arteries, as we are witnessing throughout the country, is not within the boundaries of the First Amendment which states the right of the people peaceably to assemble.
There is nothing peaceful about this, and I don’t know if anyone told these morons, but inconveniencing people by bringing traffic to a standstill is not going to endear anyone to your cause. In fact, the protests will have the exact opposite effect.
You have all these self-entitled protestors who think they can do whatever the hell they want because there are no consequences anymore. If you had a functional city with real leaders, those city leaders wouldn’t tolerate this nonsense. They would shut these protests down immediately. You cannot inhibit the movement of people, goods, and services. It has real consequences, including economic consequences.
But it’s not just about the economics. It’s not just about me being inconvenienced. If you listen to the chants at some of these protests, you hear antisemitic slogans. You hear some celebrating Hamas. You hear some calling for the genocide of Israel.
And while those things aggravate me, what aggravates me is listening to the anti-American vitriol coming out of some of these protesters. If you don’t like America then go live in Gaza. I’ll buy you the plane ticket. If we are such a horrible country then why are you here? You’re not forced to stay here.
And don’t sit there screaming that it’s about innocent Palestinians being slaughtered. They don’t give a damn about the plight of the Palestinians. If they cared about the treatment of Palestinians then why didn’t we see any of these types of protests between 2006-2023 against Hamas? Hamas has always been brutal and repressive to its own people.
Palestinians have been suffering under Hamas’s reign for nearly 20 years. We are talking about massive human rights abuses. We are talking about billions of dollars in foreign aid, tens of billions of dollars, that was meant to improve the lives of Gazans. That money was embezzled by Hamas and used to build tunnels, obtain military equipment, and enrich its leaders. Where is the outrage that the leadership within Hamas are billionaires, yet they never created anything? They didn’t innovate anything. They didn’t start a business. They stole money that was meant for the Palestinian people.
Where is the outrage? There isn’t any because most of the protestors are frauds that don’t give a damn about Palestinians. Others are just ignorant virtue signalers. Why don’t you protest that? Why don’t you protest the barbaric policies and actions of Hamas against the Palestinian people? Why don’t you protest for the eradication of Hamas?
And while you’re at it, show some damn appreciation for the United States. We are a great country, and we need to start remembering that. The problem is how are those who come here expected to respect the United States when our leadership shows little respect for our people and is constantly denigrating our country.
More on that when we get back from this quick break.
