Today I’m going to discuss a critical issue that is affecting America to her core, and if it continues the future of America will be bleak. This is an important episode, and it may explain the detachment. It also serves as one of the main contributors to the problems we are witnessing in America.
Some of you may have heard about the decline of civic education. The Department of Education released the Nation’s Report card and the data shows that student proficiency in American civics and history has hit a 30-year low.
While some education officials blame the pandemic, the problem runs much deeper. For over a decade, I have been warning about the decline of civic education. In fact, the 12th episode I did on this podcast was on the Collapse of America’s Education System, and I have done numerous other episodes focusing on aspects of the education system. I also spoke about it with Tucker Carlson in September of 2019, and then again in March of 2021.
But even worse, is how many of our educational institutions are now prioritizing a concept called ‘global citizenship’ over a strong understanding of American values. This is going on in K-12 and throughout college.
The consequences of this decline are far-reaching. How can we expect America to thrive when our citizens lack the knowledge and appreciation of their own country? In this eye-opening episode, I’m going to explore why this decline in civic education is happening and what we can do to restore America’s legacy.
I want to get to the root causes of this problem and discuss the urgent need to revive America and the American identity through a renewed focus on civics education. It’s time to take action and ensure that the next generation of Americans is equipped with the knowledge and understanding they need to lead our nation forward.
What is happening is nothing short of disgraceful, and part of it is intentional. The attack on America and the American identity has far-reaching implications, and none of them are good. There are so many within the education system that seems to believe that an American-centric approach is akin to racism, xenophobia, and ethnocentrism, but why? What’s the purpose behind it? Why are they pushing this concept of global citizenship, and what does global citizenship even mean?
