Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Blasts Democrats, endorses Donald Trump
In an address to the nation, RFK Jr. suspended his campaign last Friday. As the product of a prominent democratic family, Kenndy condemned the Democratic Party, the DNC, the media, and corrupt government agencies in a thoughtful and comprehensive speech that meticulously outlined the corruption of those in his own party, as well as in our compliant media and bloated government. He also urged his supporters to back the Trump campaign, citing ‘existential’ issues they agree on.
The three main issues RFK Jr. felt were most critical to our nation today and remedies for those issues that aligned with Trump were censorship, wars, and children’s health. He described the censorship and disregard for democratic values he endured during the primary within his own party and went on to explain how the government, controlled by Democrats, partnered with big tech to censor opposing views. The American public experienced this first-hand during COVID, when ideas and thoughts, many of which eventually proved to be true, were censored and/or removed from various social media platforms. These tyrannical actions disrupt the bedrock of our democracy and the First Amendment of our constitution. Censorship, indeed, is an existential threat to our democracy – a term the left uses arbitrarily and whose tenants they consistently fail to follow themselves.
He also described, in detail, the endless wars America has become entangled in under the Biden-Harris administration. He articulated something the media, including conservative outlets, have largely ignored. In 2022, a solid peace agreement had been drafted between Ukraine and Russia, but the Biden administration underestimated Russian power, and driven by the greed of the military-industrial complex, peace talks were squashed and billions of dollars were gifted to Ukraine, courtesy of the American taxpayer. Keep in mind, neither now nor at that time did U.S. officials offer a clear strategy to the public for winning. They are failing here, as they did with the Afghanistan withdrawal and so many other botched international agendas. Trump is the only president in recent history to not start a war, and he quelled strife and unrest in the Middle East during his tenure as president. RFK Jr. is keenly aware of this fact.
Another underreported story is that of our nation’s health, particularly of our children. One in six American children are obese, a condition that leads to cardiovascular disease, which is the leading cause of death in our country. Kennedy is a champion of our youth’s health and even founded an organization, Children’s Health Defense, whose mission is to protect our children from environmental toxins. He was one of the few who immediately called out Fauci and his army of vaccine-mandate government officials, who forced citizens, including many children, to take a vaccine whose safety or effectiveness had not been proven. President Trump and Kennedy agree that medical decisions involving putting an untested drug in one’s own body should never be mandated.
Aside from what Trump and Kennedy agree on, it is important to understand how his endorsement impacts the upcoming presidential election. According to the Pew Research Center, RFK Jr. was polling at 7% in August. Some argue that this number is insignificant and that it becomes lower when you look at polls state by state. Others say that Trump will not necessarily acquire all of his voters. Okay, but even if Trump can peel off a few percentage points from Kennedy’s voters, that can be the difference for a win in a critical swing state, and therefore the difference in winning the election.
The timing of his speech was purposeful and critical. Just as Biden’s announcement to drop out of the race steered the nation’s attention away from the assassination attempt on Trump and the success of the Republican National Convention, so too, did Kennedy’s announcement steer attention away from the phony celebrity glamour of the DNC. Also, his endorsement further expands the reach of the Republican Party, creating a realignment in which the Democrats consist more of wealthy elites and Republicans encompass the working class more.
