Today we’re diving into a critical and urgent issue that impacts every American and how this administration has abdicated their primary responsibilities and put us all at risk. Sadly, they did it for no other reason but for politics.
I’m talking about how terrorists have infiltrated our country due to President Biden’s open border policies. It’s not that they intentionally wanted terrorists to enter the country, but in the pursuit of being the most progressive presidency and trying to be the anti-Trump, we are all less safe. Who would have thought that terrorists and terror organizations would take advantage of these open-border policies? Well, anyone with two brain cells always knows the threat is real and is growing. In this episode, we’ll explore recent alarming incidents and the broader implications for national security due to the increased risk of terrorism.
Last week, it was announced that eight men with possible ties to ISIS were arrested in New York City, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. These men, originally from Tajikistan, crossed our Southern Border, and despite their criminal background checks coming back clean, they were released into the interior of the United States. This raises serious questions about our border security and the screening processes in place.
According to officials, these terrorism suspects were already on the FBI’s radar. The Joint Terrorism Task Force has been increasingly concerned about terrorist threats originating from Central Europe and Central Asia. At least two of these eight men have been in the country since the Spring of 2023. Disturbingly, one of them used the CBP one phone app designed by the administration to facilitate the process for migrants to book appointments and claim asylum. This system has given terrorists the opportunity to exploit the policies of this administration.
We do not know exactly when the FBI became aware of these individuals’ presence in the United States, but according to officials, they had been under surveillance for several months. How long before the FBI caught on were they able to move around the interior of the United States? The signs are indeed concerning, but this isn’t an isolated incident.
Last August, a CNN report highlighted that the FBI was investigating a Turkish smuggler with ties to ISIS, who was trafficking dozens of people from Uzbekistan across the U.S.-Mexico border. Unfortunately, we have no idea about the outcome of this investigation. I tried reaching out to see if I could get any updates, but I wasn’t able to obtain any additional information.
It’s the lack of transparency, a pattern with this administration, that makes me even more concerned.
In March 2023, another alarming event occurred. A Somali national with known ties to al-Shabaab, an organization linked to al-Qaeda, was allowed to enter the country and was released at the border in California. This individual was a confirmed member of a terrorist organization and was involved in the use, manufacture, or transportation of explosives or firearms, yet he was still allowed in.
In April, an Uzbeki national with alleged ties to ISIS was arrested. He entered the United States in 2022 through the Southern Border. Initially, his background check revealed nothing suspicious. It wasn’t until Uzbekistan issued a notice that this man was wanted for his ties to ISIS that U.S. officials connected the dots. However, this connection wasn’t made until over a year later, in March of this year, which further demonstrates the failures of this administration and the bureaucracy.
The situation continues to worsen. Just last week, a man from Queens, who has engaged in Jihadi rhetoric, was arrested. The circumstances of his arrest were pretty much through luck – he was stopped for a traffic violation near LaGuardia Airport. During the stop, police discovered a 9mm gun, nine magazines, an NYPD vest, handcuffs, axes, knives, an NYPD patch, an MTA reflective vest, and a baton inscribed with disturbing messages such as “You left me no choice, I am sorry, You gon [sic] learn today” and the Arabic phrase for “God forgive me.” The reports suggest he was an American citizen, but I couldn’t verify that.
When you look at these incidents, it becomes evident that the threat of terrorism within our borders is not just a distant possibility but an imminent danger. Biden’s policies have failed us and put us all at risk. As Commander-in-Chief, he has failed to safeguard our nation.
That’s what I want to discuss today. So we are going to go for a quick break. When we return, we will examine the broader implications of these failures.
