Episode Description
This week, Professor Giordano talks about a hodgepodge of issues/stories. He explains how last week’s debates revealed the weaknesses in some of the Democratic candidates. Another issue that’s getting very little attention is the diesel fuel shortage and potential railway strike that could cripple the nation. Finally, he examines the curious case of Paul Pelosi and whether the assault was a result of a right-wing extremist or is this another case of an emotionally disturbed person similar to what we are witnessing in every major city.

Intro
Welcome to The P.A.S. Report Podcast.
We are now less than a week away from the midterms, and democrats are in full panic mode. The polls keep on trending in the Republican direction, and the main question is will the undecideds break for the Republicans and the Democrats? If we are to take a snapshot of the polls, there are several critical races in the House, the Senate, and the gubernatorial races, where the candidates are one or two points apart.
This is not to say the polls are accurate. I see some major warning signs in the polling. However, if I were to take the polls as they currently exist, and I see undecideds at anywhere between 4 and 7 percent, how the undecided break will be the deciding factor?
To be honest with you, I don’t know how anyone is undecided at this point. This election is rather simple, and I said it last week. You are either satisfied with the way things are going and want to continue down the path we are currently on, or you are ready to make a change. You are thoroughly disgusted at what’s going on. Your economic livelihood has all but vanished forcing you and your family to make some really difficult decisions. Your safety is at risk as your community continues to deteriorate. It is that simple.
Here’s the thing about the undecideds. If you are still undecided, you already made up your mind that you’re not voting for the party in power. So, it comes down to whether the other side has persuaded you to vote for them or whether you’re going to sit this one out.
There are so many things going on and I’m going to be all over the map for this episode. I want to talk about last week’s debates. I want to talk about the potential for a diesel fuel shortage and a railway strike. I want to talk about the curious case of Paul Pelosi. All these things directly tie into the current political leadership, and how these have the potential to shape the midterm elections.
Before I get to it all be sure to subscribe to the podcast, and if you find the show informative, share it with your family and friends. Also, I want to hear what you think. Write a review on Apple podcast or drop me an email at podcast@pasreport.com.

The Peasant Class and Crime
I’ll kick things off by bringing up a few observations from last week’s debates, and I want to start with the Zeldin Hochul debate. After watching this debate, it’s no wonder empress Hochul has been avoiding Lee Zeldin for so long.
It was a pathetic display. She kept bringing up Trump, January 6th, guns, and abortion. She has nothing else. She couldn’t answer questions. She couldn’t defend her record. She couldn’t defend suspending state contracting awards to reward her donors. She couldn’t answer questions on the high cost of living, the failed education system, and the surging crime.
Congressman Zeldin was on message. Constantly bringing up crime and correctly tying it to the bail reform supported and passed by democrats. He pointed out the democrat messaging when it comes to defunding the police. He talked about a failed education system and parent choice. He talked about the abuse of power and overuse of mandates. He talked about lowering the cost of living so people aren’t priced out of New York.
However, the debate revealed exactly who Kathy Hochul is and the disaster of the democrat agenda. It revealed how out of touch she is with the plight of ordinary people. I want to play two sound clips that tell you everything you need to know about her. Before I play the first clip, let me just set it up for you. Zeldin kept on bringing the conversation back to crime and bail reform. That’s smart politics. He knows that it’s one of the top issues for a lot of people. That crime impacts everyone, regardless of political ideology. People want to feel safe, and this is an issue that can create crossover voters. So Zeldin was smart to focus on it.
At one point in the debate, Hochul got so flustered, she ended up saying this.
Sound Clip Empress Hochul I Don’t Know Why That’s so Important to You
She said two things in there that are very revealing. Notice how when she says everyone that commits a crime, there will be consequences. Notice how she didn’t say that we’ll throw them in prison. Notice how she didn’t say that they will go to jail so they can’t revictimize the same community over and over again.
The second thing she said when it came to bail reform and crime was how she doesn’t know why crime is so important to you. See, you the peasant class keep harping at surging crime, but why? Don’t you see how good these policies are for you? This is where you see how out of touch she is.
It wasn’t a secret that Zeldin was going to bring up crime and the policy that allowed crime to metastasize, yet she failed to prepare a decent and coherent response. This shows she is either lazy or doesn’t think it’s a big problem.
In this second clip, she was asked about mandatory COVID vaccinations for children and students. Here is what she had to say. Take a listen.
Sound Clip 2- Hochul Not at this Time
Another sound clip with two important nuggets tells you who she is and what she wants to do. Notice how she says, “We’re not talking about mandating a vaccine for children in school at this time.” Keywords- at this time.
The first issue with this clip is that she’s a flat-out liar. She could care less what parents think. If she cared about what parents think, she wouldn’t have masked up kids for 2-years, but more importantly, she says only the legislative body can pass a law requiring vaccinations. If she respected the state legislative body and believed only they have the say in these matters, then she wouldn’t have mandated decree after decree, and constantly renewed her emergency powers.
The truth is she doesn’t respect the constitutional process. She doesn’t respect the system of checks and balances or the separation of powers. She wants to rule by decree, and a lot of politicians and officials became drunk with power during the pandemic, but that’s the people’s fault because they allowed it.
You know she has every intention of mandating the vaccine if she wins the election. She is someone who calls her vaccine followers apostles. Saying it was a gift from God, and they must spread the message. For God’s sake, she wears a vaccine necklace that says vaccinated. Talk about a loser who is personally vested in pushing the vaccine. Of course, she will mandate it, but she knows it will be unpopular. I know plenty of vaccinated people who are democrats, and they say they will never make their child get the shot.
When it comes to the Fetterman-Oz debate. It was also revealing and every single democrat voter should be furious with the democrat party. I’m not going to play any clips from the debate, but throughout the debate, Fetterman was mostly incoherent. Those around Fetterman should be ashamed of themselves.
Watching this debate, I couldn’t help but think how horrible, cruel, and soulless these people are. In life, some things are more important than politics and there is something called human decency. Fetterman should not be on that stage or in the race. He clearly hasn’t recovered from the stroke. He has cognitive issues, but they don’t care.
They took a page out of the elder abuse Biden playbook. That the office is more important than the well-being of the person holding the office. This isn’t ableist, and it has nothing to do with disabilities. This is about people who are unwell and exploiting them.
And every democrat should be furious. Fetterman had the stroke before the primary. They could have told him that now is not his time, and they have an obligation to Pennsylvanian Democrats to put up a candidate that can fight for Pennsylvanians and represent them well in Congress. Even after the primary, they could have pulled him from the ticket and given it to Connor Lamb.
But they didn’t do that because they don’t care. To them, as long as they have a vessel that’s all that matters. It’s truly repulsive. If that was a Republican candidate, I would just not vote for that office or I would write in another candidate. I can’t, in good conscience, send someone to public office knowing that it’s abuse.
And the fact that so many ordinary people will still vote and support Fetterman shows just what ideologues we’ve become. I heard someone say they are still voting for Fetterman because even a Fetterman with 30% capacity is still a million times better than Oz. Think about what you’re supporting and think about how sad that is. Truly astonishing. However, I do believe that some may reconsider their support for Fetterman. The question is how many.
These are the main debate observations I have, and I do believe that these debates were enough to move the needle. We will find out in less than a week.

Diesel Fuel and Railway Strike Can Cripple the Nation
Another major issue, that hasn’t received nearly the attention it should, can lead to a complete economic meltdown overnight. According to reports, our diesel fuel inventories are at their lowest level since we started keeping records in 1982. inventories are so low that there are estimates we only have about 20 or 21 days left of diesel fuel.
Running out of diesel fuel will be a catastrophe on several levels. First, just think about how most products are delivered. This will bring the trucking industry to a standstill, and it will be at the worst possible time considering it’s the holiday season. Second, as it begins to get colder, if diesel fuel is in short supply, this could lead to homeowners not being able to heat their homes.
Families are already struggling, and this is the last thing they need. Also, a shortage will certainly cause price increases. It’s the basic law of supply and demand. People’s budgets are already stretched thin, and families are having to make really difficult financial decisions. Decisions that impact their overall well-being, and if we run out of diesel fuel, it will make everyone’s life that much more difficult.
There are several reasons we have seen the stockpiles dwindle. There’s usually higher demand this time of year. This occurs every year both in the spring and the fall due to planting and harvesting seasons in the agricultural industry. Also, refineries typically undergo maintenance this time of year before the weather gets too cold.
Compounding the problem is the fact that only a handful of refineries have been built over the last 40 years, and the refining capacities are not enough to keep up with the growing demand. It’s nearly impossible to build new refineries due to all the rules and regulations, especially the environmental regs, and then the year of litigation from those who want to stop the projects. Think about how much our country has grown since the last major refinery in 1976.
In 1976, our population was 220 million. Today, our population is nearly 350 million. Think about the increase in businesses, cars, trucks, homes and so much more. We should have increased refining capacity, but we didn’t increase it nearly enough, especially considering Russia’s war in Ukraine and how that’s impacted supplies and energy markets.
I want to be clear. I don’t think we will run out of diesel. I think suppliers will try to pick up the slack, but I do believe we will see sporadic shortages and much higher prices.
What makes this problem even worse is the potential for a railway strike in the United States. Again, think about how goods are moved throughout the United States, and then think about what a strike would mean. You would see the already struggling supply chains collapse. It would be an economic disaster, and it wouldn’t take months to feel the effects. The effects would be immediate and devastating.
What I don’t understand is that the railway workers were offered an amazing deal. The Biden administration offered them a 24% increase in pay that’s retro. I mean how many people can say they got a 24% raise? I mean damn, I’ve been getting about a 1-2% raise over the last several years. If my union president got us a 24% increase in pay, I’d call for him to be union president for life. It really is shocking.
According to reports, the workers rejected the contract because it didn’t address sick days. They are demanding 15 sick days. Not for nothing, but negotiations are supposed to be a give and take, and this is where unions hurt themselves. While the railway workers deserve sick days, they currently don’t have any, 15 sick days is a lot, especially with a 24% increase in pay.
Also, if a strike does happen, how many people are going to look deep into how the contract negotiations fell apart? People will hear that the unions rejected the 24% increase in pay, and most people will see that as greedy, especially since most people haven’t seen substantial pay increases in quite some time. And who do you think ordinary Americans will blame if a strike happens, and the supply chain collapses? They are going to blame the unions that rejected the 24% increase.
It’s amazing how so many people don’t understand optics.
But this is certainly a situation to monitor, and I will keep you posted on any developments.
Disaster can strike at any time. Be prepared and know that your family is well fed.

The Curious Case of Paul Pelosi
Okay. Now it’s time to get to the curious case of Paul Pelosi. This case gets more bizarre by the day and there are more questions than answers. On Monday, I released an episode where I spoke with congressional candidate George Santos who is running for NYS Congressional District 3. It was a great interview, so I suggest you listen and support him if you’re in his district. However, before the interview, I talked about the attack on Paul Pelosi.
When I recorded the episode on Friday morning, there wasn’t much that we knew. All we heard was that the attacker was screaming “where’s Nancy.” We are now several days into this story and there are far more questions now, and everything doesn’t appear quite as it seems.
There are so many holes in this story. We were initially told that this was some right-winger influenced by QANON. We were told they were in their underwear when the attack happened. We were told that the attack was politically motivated.
Since then, we learned a few things. The question of security remains. Speaker Pelosi is the second most powerful person in the United States. She has round-the-clock security with a personal security detachment. Her personal police protection is the Capitol Police. She also receives security at her home. Coordination exists between the Capitol Police and the local PD.
Now I tried to find out whether the Pelosi’s also use private security to protect their home which I haven’t been able to verify whether they do or not. She lives in Pacific Heights. A very ritzy area. I would say it’s safe to assume that they have an alarm system on the home and we have to ask, why wasn’t the alarm triggered when the assailant broke into the home? That’s certainly a question that needs to be answered.
It’s also safe to assume that there are probably cameras all over that property to secure the perimeter. Oh wait, we don’t have to assume. She has 28 security cameras surveilling the property. So, the next question becomes, why hasn’t video surveillance been released? This too is odd. Wouldn’t you at least show the break-in and how the perpetrator entered the home?
It’s strange that there would be no real protection measures to secure the Speaker’s home even if she’s not there. Understand, the reason to secure the home from a governmental perspective is the fact that she’s the second most powerful person in the United States. She’s an intelligence goldmine. Don’t you think that foreign intelligence agencies would love to infiltrate her home to plant listening and video devices? Also, even if no one is there, you still protect the home because you don’t want some foreign terrorist organization or other dangerous people to plant any type of explosive devices in and around the home.
The idea that the home isn’t constantly being monitored by security and law enforcement personnel is completely ludicrous.

What About the Assailant?
The next series of questions revolve around the assailant. When the assault first happened, we were told that this was a right-wing extremist. A domestic terrorist. An ultra MAGA influenced by QANON.
However, the more we find out, we realize that wasn’t true. We have to ask- who is David DePape? Well, it turns out that he is an emotionally disturbed person and has been for years. His ex-girlfriend stated, “He is mentally ill. He has been mentally ill for a long time.”
She went on to recall an incident where he went missing for nearly a year. She said, “He came back in very bad shape. He thought he was Jesus. He was constantly paranoid, thinking people were after him. And it took a good year or two to get back to, you know, being halfway normal.”
She also said that he isn’t a right-winger like the mainstream press is trying to push. She stated, “he didn’t have any experience in politics, and he was very much in alignment with my views, and I’ve always been very progressive. I absolutely admire Nancy Pelosi.”
We’ve also learned that he is an illegal immigrant from Canada that overstayed his visa. He was living in a bus, which was his home, that had a pride and BLM flag or signage. To top it all off, he was a nudist as well. I’m telling you the whole thing is bizarre. I don’t know about you, but I know a lot of people on the right, republicans and conservatives, and I have never come across a nudist republican championing BLM. It just doesn’t happen.
This guy was an emotionally disturbed individual. He was an unstable person, and it’s something we are seeing more and more of. However, the question needs to be asked, why did the media and others lie? Why did they make it like this person was a right-wing extremist? They blatantly lied.
But it gets weirder.
What Happened Before and When Police Arrived.
According to reports, Paul Pelosi took the elevator to get upstairs and away from the assailant. Now, I do not have a personal elevator in my home so I’m not sure what they are like, but I would assume that all elevators have the same safety features. One of those features for code compliance is the emergency stop. Why wouldn’t Paul Pelosi hit the emergency stop switch to prevent the assailant from attacking him?
As details began to emerge, we were told that they were both in their underwear with DePape on top of Paul Pelosi as Paul Pelosi grabbed the hammer and was trying to prevent the attack. According to Politico’s initial report, there was someone else in the home. However, outlets now say it was just Pelosi and DePape in the home. Then we were told when the front door opened, police asked DePape and Pelosi what was going on. DePape said everything was good.
That initial story raised a bunch of questions as well. First, how did the door open? Who opened it? Doors don’t magically open themselves. Also, if someone is on top of another person with a hammer in their hand, why would police ask what’s going on? Why wouldn’t they run and tackle the person with the hammer and try to sort everything out afterward? That makes no sense to me. Police are trained to neutralize the immediate threat.
However, in the last day or so, the story changed. I was reading a report where it said no one else was in the home, and that it was Paul Pelosi that answered the door. When Paul opened the door, police said both men had their hand on the hammer and DePape’s other hand was on Pelosi’s forearm. Police asked what was going on, DePape said everything was good, and then the police told them to drop the hammer. It’s at that point that DePape struck Paul Pelosi in the head with it.
Again, this doesn’t make that much sense either. If the two men were struggling over the hammer, how would Paul Pelosi open the door for police officers? I mean if you’re fighting over the hammer, it’s not like you’re going to say to the assailant, hey just one minute while I grab the door.
The whole thing is completely bizarre, and a lot could be cleared up if police body cam footage is released. That would answer a lot of questions, but so far they are refusing to do so. Why?
Also, why won’t they release DePape’s rap sheet? Was he known to the police? How many times was he arrested? We know he had a drug issue. Was he on drugs at the time of the attack?
None of it makes sense, and when you refuse to release information and the story keeps changing, people naturally begin to engage in speculation and scream a cover-up.

Democrats Use it to Justify Targeting Their Political Opponents
Immediately democrats jumped on this and had the nerve to say this attack happened because Republicans have demonized Pelosi. They said that republicans were responsible for the attack and that republicans are nothing more than extremists.
You had former President Obama come out and say this. Take a listen.
Sound Clip- Former President Obama Blames Republicans
And here is what the media industrial complex was pushing out there when it comes to the Pelosi attack. Take a listen.
So, the drug-addicted nudist, who supports BLM, is now some crazy right-wing extremist. In the words of Joe Biden, C’mon Man.
These people have some nerve, and they have become so brazen. Remember, it was former Congressman Alan Greyson that told Americans that Republicans want women, children, and old people to die quickly.
It was Congresswoman Maxine Waters who told her supporters to get in Republicans’ faces and don’t let them eat or shop in places. It was Speaker Pelosi herself who declared Republicans domestic enemies in September 2020. It was Speaker Pelosi who called her Republican colleagues the enemies from within.
It was Senator Schumer who threatened Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh when it comes to abortion. Many Democratic party officials have accused Republicans of being racist and misogynist. They have called Republicans evil and have dehumanized Republicans. Is the rhetoric harsh? Most remained silent when Senator Rand Paul was attacked and brutally beaten resulting in a collapsed lung and broken ribs.
This was a politically motivated attack, yet many Democrats remained silent. Didn’t say a peep to condemn the attack. Congressman Steve Scalise nearly died, and many more congressional Republicans would have died had it not been for Congressman Scalise’s security detail. The shooter was a Bernie Sanders supporter. Did Democrats care about the political rhetoric then?
Not for nothing, just a few weeks ago you had an 18-year-old kid that was run over and murdered. The person that allegedly murdered the kid stated that he did so in self-defense because the kid was part extreme Republican. Should we blame President Biden and Speaker Pelosi for their rhetoric?
They’re all frauds. They have no problem ignoring their own rhetoric, and constantly demonizing their political opponents. It was the President of the United States that gave a primetime address accusing half the country of being the biggest threats to democracy and domestic terrorists. So, excuse me if I don’t take these people seriously. They cry about rhetoric, even as they spew their own toxic rhetoric and engage in conspiracy theories like Russian collusion.
It’s not to say that the right doesn’t engage in invective language. They do, but not to the degree the Democrats and the media do it day in and day out. It’s not to excuse it, but we have to call a spade, a spade.
When it comes to politics, the rhetoric is always harsh. Politics is a blood sport. Always was and always has been. However, when we look at the rhetoric over the last decade, there is no doubt that the Democrats have routinely engaged in character assassination and have tried to demonize their political opponents to a much larger extent than Republicans have.
Closing
As I stated on Monday, the Pelosi attacker needs to be thrown in jail. You have to set examples, but don’t be fooled. This incident has more to do with mental health and crime than it does with political violence. We continue to see democrats try to deflect from the crime issue. They want to pretend it’s not happening.
But what makes this incident any different from someone being pushed off a subway platform? What makes this incident any different than the random assaults? What makes this any different than the senseless murders?

It’s not any different. It shows that crime is surging, mental health issues are metastasizing, and you have a lot of unstable people out there. Then you have those who have zero human decency out there.
Ask yourself what got us to this moment and the answer is that this is a result of failed Democrat policies.
The good news is that we can spark the change that’s needed and it starts on November 8th.
