Episode Description
In the latest episode of The P.A.S. Report with Professor Nick Giordano, we dive headfirst into the critical battle for information in our increasingly authoritarian world. Governments, the media, academia, and big tech are teaming up under the guise of fighting misinformation, but their real agenda is clear: they want to control the narrative and maintain their grip on power.
Professor Giordano reveals the truth about their motives and sheds light on how the Biden administration’s National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism is the catalyst behind this authoritarian push. This episode champions the enduring principles of free speech and independent thought, challenging the condescending notion that we can’t discern truth from falsehood on our own.

We are living through a period where once-free societies are moving towards authoritarianism under the guise of combatting what they deem as misinformation and disinformation.
In a free society, the free flow of information is essential to its vitality. This is something Americans have understood since our founding. But today, there is a war being waged on the flow of information. In the name of misinformation, the government, the media industrial complex, higher education, big tech, and others, are seeking to control the flow of information at any and all costs.
The elites recognize that control of the narrative is essential to power. And that’s what it’s really about. They try to argue that misinformation and disinformation is a threat to civil society, but that’s a lie and they know it.
As I always say, freedom of speech and thought are part of the foundation of the American experiment, and for 200+ years, no one had a problem with this. As platforms emerged elevating the voices of everyday Americans, all of a sudden freedom of speech became a problem. All of a sudden we’re plagued with misinformation and disinformation that can destroy our society.
Did misinformation and disinformation not exist until the emergence of the internet and social media?
Of course, they’re full of it. See, they had no problems with freedom of speech and thought until it began to challenge them. That’s why you see people like Richard Stengal, a former Obama appointee, deem free speech a design flaw within our system. They say that free speech wasn’t really what the founders intended and so it’s up to those in power to control the flow of information.
And listen to them carefully. They say it’s essential to control the flow of information to protect us from ourselves. Now, if we translate that into what they really mean, what they are saying is that you are too stupid, too dumb, to understand what’s true and what’s not.
It’s rather insulting that they think we are so ignorant that we don’t have the capability to apply reason to the information that exists. We can’t observe, analyze, and formulate logical conclusions. To them, we need them to drive us toward a particular conclusion.
The problem is that while I completely disagree with our overlords, and I recognize their true intentions, they have been successful.
Not only have they been successful, but they also continue to build out the massive apparatus of the all-powerful state that gets to dictate what you can say, hear, and see, and what you can’t.
