This will be a great episode. I know I spoke about the border battle last week, but today, I want to take a look at the Senate Border Bill as this is a piece of legislation that holds immense significance in the ongoing saga of the Biden administration’s open border policy. Finally, the text of the bill has been released. Remember, they said they had to keep what was in it secret, but they are trying to ram this bill through now. I believe they want to have a procedural vote on Wednesday, and a Senate vote by Friday. Whatever happened to debate?
I mean this is a 375-page bill. There has not been any testimony regarding the bill. There has not been a debate surrounding the bill. The message from Senator Schumer and Senator McConnell is to shut up and vote. They are the new Pelosi’s. You have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.
This is the problem with Congress and the entire system. Whenever it’s a hot-button issue, whenever it’s about the complex problems we face, they don’t want a debate. They want to ram things through. How about we follow normal procedures before we pass something that has wide-reaching ramifications?
In any event, with the release of its text, the debate surrounding its efficacy and implications has now reached a fever pitch. If you criticize the bill, you are branded as not serious about border security. If you support the bill, you are an open-border globalist. However, there are only a few questions that actually matter – does this bill truly offer a viable solution to securing our nation’s border, or is it merely another exercise in political theater that does nothing to usher in meaningful change?
Also, I can tell you now that the only reason they even added a border section to this bill is so they can continue to fund the war in Ukraine, which raises the question of how serious they are. We call it a Senate Border bill, but it’s actually a war supplemental.
I’ve started to go through the bill, and in this episode, I will break down the good, the bad, and the ugly. I will examine some of the nuances that exist and explain some of the potential ramifications.
But before I get to the Senate Border Bill, there was a shocking turn of events that you may not have heard about. Internal White House documents have come to light that reveal efforts by the Biden administration to exert pressure on Amazon to censor books deemed unfavorable by our overlords.
This should be a firestorm that raises serious questions about the erosion of free speech and the encroachment of government influence on all aspects of life, including intellectual discourse and how we think.
Remember, CISA Director Jen Easterly wants cognitive thoughts to be declared under the umbrella of Critical Infrastructure Protection.
Orwell’s 1984 is here in 2024, censorship looms large as the overlords attempt to destroy the principles of liberty. There are far-reaching ramifications of these censorship efforts and as the government attempts to manipulate the marketplace of ideas.
These are the same people who equate removing pornographic materials from school libraries to book bans and label concerned parents as domestic terrorists. Can anyone say projection?
In any event, I will get to it all when we get back from this quick break so hang tight.
