Today’s episode is different from what we had originally planned. I interviewed former FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst George Hill, and that interview was supposed to air today. However, given the events of Saturday, July 13, 2024, with the assassination attempt on former President Trump, I’ve had to switch things up. The George Hill interview will now be released on Wednesday, and believe me, you won’t want to miss it. So, make sure to follow and subscribe.

Last week, I mentioned we’d be focusing on Project 2025. That episode will come out next week.

But today, we must address the seismic event that occurred on Saturday. Saturday, July 13, 2024, will go down in history as a day when everything changed. It’s one of those days where you remember exactly what you were doing.

I was preparing for a panel discussion on bail reform when I saw a tweet by Joe Concha stating that former President Trump had been shot at his Pennsylvania rally. Initially, I thought I might be misinterpreting it. I checked the newswires – nothing. But then I went back to X, and the posts and videos started flooding in.

It’s astonishing how quickly news breaks on X and other social media platforms.

As soon as I saw the video, it was clear what had happened. You hear several pops, Trump grabs his ear and then drops to the floor to take cover.

Now, regardless of your beliefs, the only reason he is alive today is through the grace of God. The shooter didn’t have bad aim. Had Trump not tilted his head slightly at the last moment, we’d be having a very different conversation right now. We’re talking about a couple of centimeters making all the difference between life and death.

As shocking as the assassination attempt was, what followed was equally astounding. The former President got to his feet, with blood on his face, and defiantly raised his fist to show the people he was okay. The crowd erupted in USA chants. The AP photographer, Evan Vucci, captured an epic photo that will undoubtedly go down in history.

Whether you support the former President or not, that moment represents the resilience and spirit of America.

You have to give it to Trump. He is a showman, and I mean that in the most respectful way. Every one of us can imagine how you’d react in a crazy scenario, but when it actually happens and becomes real, it’s a different story. Most people would panic.

Trump, after being shot in the ear, had the presence of mind to get down and let the Secret Service protect him, and then, when they picked him up, he turned to the crowd and raised his fist. Talk about courage under fire. His composure was remarkable.

In this episode, I will focus on several key aspects: the Secret Service’s role and the intelligence and law enforcement components, the dark realities that led to this moment, and the far-reaching consequences of this assassination attempt on the political world, the media, the bureaucracy, and the 2024 presidential election.
