Episode Description
Where do the majority of Americans really stand? Are we really as divided as the politicians, the bureaucrats, and the talking heads make us out to be? Are we really fracturing as a country? And if we do retreat to our factions, can the United States survive, or will we fail as all tribal societies ultimately do? These are just some of the questions Professor Giordano answers in this episode.

Intro
Welcome to The P.A.S. Report Podcast.
Hopefully, you’re having a good week. I want to thank everyone who reached out after listening to Monday’s episode and the interview with Lt. Governor Mark Robinson. I enjoyed that interview a lot, and it seems many of you did as well. There’s nothing better than when ordinary people stand up for what they believe in. When they have the courage to speak out on issues that concern them.
That’s what America is all about, and I wish more people would speak up. I’m talking about everyone dissatisfied with the current direction we’re headed in.
Sadly, many don’t speak up because they are afraid of the ramifications. They are afraid that if they say the wrong thing, they will be attacked and canceled. They worry that if they say something, it may be taken out of context and some will try to destroy their lives. We have mouths to feed. Some people depend on us. This leads people to censor themselves because they are responsible individuals and generally good people.
But at what cost are you willing to remain silent? We are living through challenging times, and sure, you may be able to keep your head down for a little longer. You may be able to maintain your way of life for a little longer, but ultimately, when it all comes crashing down, what will you have left?
Then you have those who hate politics. They try to stay out of it as much as they could. They walk away anytime the conversation gets political. They don’t vote. They don’t watch the news. They mind their business and live their lives. I understand that too. Politics is a cesspool. Always has been and always will be. But the same thing applies to these people as well.
How long can you go on ignoring the obvious? You can sit on the sidelines all you want, but is your life improving by sitting it out?
The reality is the American people are the most powerful force within the political world. We Have a major role to play within the system, and if we exert our influence, perhaps, we can bring back some semblance of normalcy.
I’m not ready to give up on the American people. I’m not ready to surrender this country to the loons who want to placate a small subset of people. I’m not ready to let them keep dividing us on things like race, gender, religion, or any other trait they use.
And that’s going to be the theme of this episode. We have so much more in common than we realize, and so why aren’t we speaking up to say enough? Why have so many Americans disengaged from the process even though their lives and their quality of life have gotten noticeably worse?
I’ll explain in this episode, but before I do make sure to subscribe to the podcast, and if you find the show informative, share it with your family and friends. Even those that you may disagree with politically. If they’re diehard partisans, they probably won’t like this podcast, but if they are commonsense Americans, ordinary Americans, you would be surprised about how many are receptive to the message.

Why Do They Want to Divide Us?
We have to start by asking the question- why do they want to divide us so much? I’m not even really talking about the political issues even though that matters too. I’m talking just in general. Why do they want us to hate each other? Why do they want us to demonize each other?
Notice the rhetoric, and it comes from both sides, but it’s much more slanted to the left right now and the language they use is dark and dangerous. What I mean, is to think about how easy it is for people to throw out the evil label. Think about how they define their political opponents as domestic enemies and domestic terrorists.
And it’s not that they just attach these labels to their political opponents in office, which would be bad enough. Instead, they attach these labels to ordinary Americans. It shows what they think of people. Anyone who dissents from a narrative gets labeled. This doesn’t help the political dialogue. It doesn’t make anything better, but they do it for a purpose.
Rather than have a spirited debate, they want us to retreat to our factions. They want to prevent us from developing meaningful connections with one another. They want us to redefine how we treat and judge each other. It’s why they dehumanize their opposition.
When politicians criticize and attack each other, it’s one thing, but when they start to demonize an entire group of people simply because they have a different opinion, that’s where it becomes a problem. But it’s an even bigger problem when the truth is no longer welcome, and rather than speak up, the overwhelming majority of people remain silent pretending this is normal.
I can say with confidence that the overwhelming majority of Americans would agree with me on certain issues so why do they remain silent?
Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy
Where Do the Majority of Americans Really Stand?
Just look at the issues we have to talk about in 2022. You would think we lost our collective minds, but we haven’t lost our minds. It’s just that so many have kept quiet, just so they don’t feel the wrath of the fringe minority. They don’t want to be ostracized and ridiculed. They don’t want to be canceled. Sadly, so many have decided it is necessary to censor themselves out of fear. That’s not what this country is supposed to be about, and when you do that, you are giving them exactly what they want.
However, if we look at the issues, is there that much of a political division between democrats and republicans? I’m not talking about the politicians or the appointed officials. I’m talking about ordinary Americans who may identify themselves as a democrat, republican, independent, or conservative. Is there that much of a political division between ordinary Americans? I don’t think there is nearly as much political division as they say, especially when we examine specific issues.
Crime
I would argue that 90% of Americans, regardless of party affiliation, don’t support releasing violent or repeat offenders without bail. The majority of Americans know that releasing criminals into already troubled communities is a recipe for disaster as it’s their communities that suffer.
The American people are good-natured, and I can assure you that there aren’t too many Americans who wouldn’t support bail reform where first-time nonviolent offenders are released, but they have the common sense to know that that’s where it ends. We don’t mind giving someone a second chance. We all make mistakes. However, when it comes to violent or repeat offenders, it is a completely different story. They push through these insane policies on a partisan basis for what? Had they done what I said, and released only those who are first-time nonviolent offenders, both democrats and republicans would get on board. It’s something the majority of Americans would support.
And what the hell is it with this crap of releasing people, who committed heinous acts like murder, rape, armed robbery, and other violent offenses, why do they want to empty the prisons? I don’t get it. What constituency are they going for?
Marriage and Abortion
On marriage, the overwhelming majority of Americans could care less who someone wants to be with. While the democrats continue with the fear tactics, the reality is that no one is coming for gay marriage. If two adults decide to be together, most would say it’s not their business. Sure, there are some on this issue who think gay marriage should be abolished, but most people don’t care about this issue at all. People want to be left alone, and what people do in their private life is their business so long as they’re not doing anything illegal.
When it comes to abortion, the majority of Americans are pro-choice but believe that abortion should be limited to the first 15 weeks like in most European countries. The majority of Americans don’t celebrate abortion as a good thing. They view abortion as an excruciating decision that will forever change the person.
With that being said, if the only two options were to outlaw abortion or allow unfettered access to abortion up until the 9th month and funded by taxpayers, where do you think the majority of people would stand? The majority of Americans are very uncomfortable with those that push the idea that abortion should be legal, without any restrictions, throughout the pregnancy.
And as I always say, once our civilization ends, and our past is discovered by a new civilization, do you think they would view the practice of abortion as part of a civilized, enlightened society, or do you believe they would view the practice of abortion as part of a primitive, barbaric society? Think about that.

The Children
Where do you think the majority of people stand on drag shows for children? I can assure you that 90% of the people, it doesn’t matter if their democrats, republicans, independents, or any other party, 90% of the American people are against exposing children to this crap. They may not say it out loud, but they definitely don’t support something that is harmful and doesn’t provide kids with any benefit whatsoever. We would never tolerate taking kids to a strip club, and if any parent did, CPS would be called on them immediately, and if a strip club allowed it, I can assure you their license would be pulled within an hour.
I would argue that 90% of American parents, regardless of party, don’t want a sexual agenda being pushed on children, especially in elementary schools. I would guarantee that parents don’t want their children to be exposed to sexual preferences. It doesn’t matter if it’s straight, gay, trans, or anything else. Most parents know their children better than anyone else, and they know when their children are ready to hear about this stuff.
I would guarantee that 90% of parents believe that not only should they have a say in their child’s education but believes that they should have a seat at the table when it comes to the schools and what our children are learning.
I would also argue that if many parents knew how poorly our children are being educated and what their proficiency levels are, they would be even more outraged than they already are. They would be disgusted, especially when you consider how much money we dump into the education system. We constantly talk about how the students of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Well, why don’t we treat them as such?
When Americans hear about female genital mutilation in predominantly Muslim countries. The overwhelming majority are against such practices. In fact, the practice is illegal in the United State under Title 18 U.S. Code 116. So, why are we pretending chemical castration is any different?
I would guarantee that 90% of Americans don’t believe that young teenagers between the ages of 12-16 should be chemically castrated. Again, it doesn’t matter the party. 90% of democrats also don’t agree with this. It’s insane how this is being normalized, and what’s going to happen to all these young children 10 years from now? What happens if they regret their decision? Remember 12–16-year-olds don’t always make the best decisions.
Maybe, just maybe, we shouldn’t allow them to make a life-altering decision that can never really be undone. This is crazy. Even crazier is how all these so-called smart people just go along with it because they’re afraid to speak out. If you are a doctor and this is going on in your hospital, you have an obligation to speak up. Stop being cowards.
Then you have those that want to make it so easy as if a simple referral will do. That’s disgraceful, and all these people involved in the practice should be ashamed of themselves. It’s disgraceful.
If you’re 18, you do want you to want. Do what you think is going to make you happy. I may not agree with the lifestyle choices, but when you’re an adult, you get to make your own decisions, and I could care less what you do. What I will say is leave the friggin’ children alone. It is sick when you think about what they are doing to the children.
The idea that a doctor, a counselor, a therapist, or a psychologist, lose their license, their job, and their livelihood for opposing this barbaric practice on children is insane. And the fact that we have to point out how wrong this is illustrates the problem with today’s society.
Children already have it hard enough. Being a child was difficult already, but it is so much more difficult now than it was in my generation. It’s scary.
Most Americans don’t want ideology in the classroom, progressive or conservative. Instead of pushing ideology, how about we teach children how government works? How about we teach them the three branches and who is responsible for what. How about we teach them the roles and responsibilities of the institutions? When we teach history, how about we focus on the totality of American history, both the good and bad?
And while we’re at it, how about we stop pushing the divisive curriculums that tell students they are the oppressors or the oppressed? The victimizers or the victims. How about we start there, and if you’re a math teacher, teach math. The number of people that reach out to me and tell me about teachers, who don’t teach history, who don’t teach government or civics, but teachers from other subject areas will pontificate in their classes about politics and the current issues. Enough. Just teach the damn subject material. It’s really not that hard.

Racializing Everything
Sticking with race, the overwhelming majority of Americans don’t want to see every single issue racialized. Just the other day, you had the Vice President come out and say that Hurricane Ian relief money will be based on this concept of equity. That it should be distributed based on the color of one’s skin and the community they come from. That’s disgusting. The reality is that she should be saying that we are there for all those impacted by the hurricane. That we are all Americans and when we face disasters like this, we come together and help each other. It doesn’t matter what the color of your skin is.
But it’s not just this example. There are tons of examples over the last few years where they try to divide ordinary Americans on skin color, gender, ethnicity, religion, and just about everything else.
But the majority of Americans don’t look at everything through the prism of race. They don’t believe the color of one’s skin defines the essence of a person. The majority of Americans don’t believe we should drop standards based on race. The majority of Americans find this logic insulting, and I’m talking about Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, and White Americans. This whole idea of equity is nonsense. Americans believe in equality. That everyone should have the opportunities to grow and thrive within society. You can’t force outcomes.
Politically Weaponizing Government Institutions
The vast majority of Americans believe that our government institutions shouldn’t be weaponized to target and punish political opponents. Most Americans abhor the abuse of power, and some are smart enough to know that if one party does it when they are in power, the other party will do it once they get into power.
Unfortunately, the politicians and the appointed officials are so shortsighted that they can’t see how this will end terribly for everyone. This isn’t rocket science.
Secure Borders
I will guarantee that 80% of Americans want a secure border. We are a generous people and given that we are the wealthiest nation in the world, we feel an obligation to the downtrodden.
However, Americans don’t want to see an unending flow of migrants crossing the southern border. They don’t want to see the cartels enriched. They don’t want to see the endless flow of powerful narcotics, particularly fentanyl, coming over and killing our fellow Americans.
Ordinary Americans want legal immigration, and they believe the legal process should be reformed so that the system works faster and more efficiently. They believe that the process takes too long for those who deserve to get the honor of being an American citizen. And most ordinary Americans don’t believe in a diversity visa. The overwhelming majority of Americans believe that merit and dedication to the United States should be the most important factor.
We Are The Majority: The Life and Passions of a Patriot
Potential for WWIII
Then when we look abroad. After 20 years of war in Afghanistan. After Iraq. I can guarantee that the overwhelming majority of Americans don’t want to see another war unless it’s in the defense of this nation.
Yet, you have all these people in power pushing for us to get into a war with Russia. What’s shocking is the cavalier attitude of so many of our officials, both elected and appointed when it comes to the potential of WWIII, and mark my words, if the United States is sucked fully into the Ukraine War, that’s exactly what it is, WWIII.
You have all these talking heads on TV casually bringing up nuclear war as if it’s no biggie. It is frightening to listen to because if nuclear war breaks out, it’s game over. This isn’t like Putin drops a nuke and then we drop a nuke, and the conflict ends. In reality, it’s game over. Nothing will ever be the same.
They keep pushing the idea of nukes, but every single one of you needs to know that if that happens, your way of life will be gone forever. Every single luxury you have today will be gone tomorrow. And if you’re lucky enough to survive, your life will be very difficult. Some would say the lucky ones would be right in the blast zone.
It is worrying how no one is talking about resolving the conflict to end hostilities. Instead, they want to ratchet it up. Where are the leaders, not just in this country, but around the world?
The amount of instability in the world is increasing daily. We are seeing domestic unrest in multiple countries. We are hearing the rhetoric of nuclear war. The longer the Russian war in Ukraine goes on, the greater likelihood it spreads beyond its borders. And the global economy is declining rapidly. This is a recipe for disaster, and as instability increases, the chance for the next great war also increases.
And it will be at a time when we have global supply change shortages. Where our military stockpiles are depleted. Where our military readiness is significantly below the level we want them to be at. Where we are currently having difficulties when it comes to recruiting. And then let’s not forget who the Commander in Chief is. I’m not trying to be mean, but he doesn’t exactly instill the level of confidence I want in my president, and remember, the world sees what we all see. He certainly isn’t a Roosevelt, a JFK, or a Churchill. Think about that. Do you really want him to lead us into a Great War?
And our political leaders, both Democrats, and Republicans, who are itching for a war with Russia, they are too dumb to see what’s right in front of them. Russia isn’t winning because the Russians don’t have anything to fight for. Ukraine never posed any real threat to Russia, but Russia invaded anyway even though the Russian people didn’t want war. The Ukrainians are fighting for survival. Wars are won by those who have something to fight for, and that’s why it hasn’t gone well for Russia and was the biggest miscalculation of Putin’s career.
Disaster can strike at any time. Be prepared and know that your family is well fed.

What is Their End Game?
When you look at how quickly it’s gotten to this point, it really is stunning because when you view the other side as evil, nothing can get done. A nation cannot survive, especially a nation like ours. It begs the question, what is their endgame?
And that’s the thing. While some of these people may be sinister, it doesn’t mean they’re necessarily smart. They think that if enough division is created, it will become intolerable and political violence will become normalized. If that happens, people will look to empower the state to end the violence, and they will be willing to give up more power to the government.
They want to factionalize society. It’s what Madison warned about in Federalist 10. Written 235 years ago, Madison argued that the biggest threat to the Republic was the emergence of Factions- people who join together in an attempt to shape and influence policy. Madison recognized that ultimately, people would become more loyal to factions and ideology, which will lead them to hate, demonize and begin to resent those that disagree.
Even though the majority of Americans have a lot in common and agree with each other, we are becoming factionalized. A 2018 Axios poll found a disturbing trend. According to the poll:
- 61% of Democrats view Republicans as racist, bigoted, and sexist
- 54% of Democrats view Republicans as ignorant
- 21% of Democrats view Republicans as evil
- 31% of Republicans view Democrats as racist, bigoted, and sexist
- 49% of Republicans view Democrats as ignorant
- 23% of Republicans view Democrats as evil
These numbers are disturbing, to say the least, and if you notice, the democrats have a far more negative view of republicans than republicans do democrats.
I wish Axios would do another poll because I suspect the numbers are far worse today. I would also like them to add whether they think the political opposition are traitors and fascists. It would be interesting to see what the results are especially because of the rhetoric from the big guy.
As we continue to be factionalized, we morph into tribal societies and tribal societies don’t work for anyone. That’s why it’s so perplexing about how many just go along with this nonsense even though we aren’t as divided as most people think when it comes to the issues.
Closing
This is why it’s so important for ordinary Americans to speak out. I don’t think the majority of Americans want to live in a tribal society. I don’t think the majority of Americans want to live in a failed state. I don’t think the majority of Americans want to see America, the America that we all grew up in, destroyed just so this small group of people can declare more power and authority for themselves.
It doesn’t matter which side of the political aisle you’re on. When we start to demonize each other and call each other evil, all debate ends. You can’t negotiate with evil. You can’t compromise with evil.
While I routinely criticize political leaders, I never attack ordinary Americans for expressing their opinions even when they go against mine. I never attack ordinary people even when they lob insults and try to label me as a fascist, a racist, or a traitor. It’s not worth my time to engage in that. More importantly, we need to ignore the trolls. Don’t give them what they want.
It is incumbent on every one one of us to reach all those disaffected people who have disengaged from the political process. It’s incumbent on us to stand up and speak out for our convictions, especially the myriad of issues that I laid out where there is universal agreement regardless of what the talking heads and the politicians want to put out there.
Remember, there is more we have in common, we just need some sane leaders to drive that point.
